As much as i like certain aspects about this game I cant bring myself to recommend this. There are clearly things they've learned and improved on from their previous titles, but clearly things they've kept in from before that were obvious mistakes that they did'nt learn from, in fact it would seem they lean into these mistakes as if jank and stupidity are a quirky charm of the game. These faults bring the game from a 10 out of 10 to a 5 or 6.5 in my opinion. A good example of what i mean is the constant barrage of running zombies that seem to just always forcing you to eat away at supplies because their janky, flailing arm attack, that was kept in exactly the same way its been since the first dead island... I think the biggest flaw with them is the ability to dodge your attacks. It just doesnt make sense and it looks retarded. It breaks immersion and always leaves you stupified when they manage to defy all physics and manage to chip away at your health, or even kill you in a flash. Another thing that bothers me is the parkour. It seems they tried for a more... realistic feel with this one. But honestly i just find myself having trouble connecting sometimes and latching on to, what i would imagine, is an easy jump in this game. Too many times ive fallen off a roof because crane just refuses to grab on to something, or maybe he starts wall running one his own... whatever it may be it happens more than i remember happening in any other game... Most of my time playing has been looking desperately for batteries and barely having enough parts to make bandages to get me through. Its not that theyre hard to find, they are everywhere and youre constantly picking them up, but you just cant ever seem to have enough to not have to worry about them. So most of the game feels like a chore, grinding loot to have the ability to survive so you can grind for the loot some more... its ok for a little bit but can get old pretty fast You can spend an hour looting for med stuff, then lose it all in a matter of moments if you arent super carefull. And i get it, im playing on nightmare and survival. Its suppose to feel a certain way. Ya i can turn it down but this game is waaay to easy otherwise so no im not gonna. I wouldnt complain if the reasons why youre getting hurt are usually due to annoying things. Like pressing the attack button but something delaying you, like stepping up slightly, it will force the animation to start over which lowers the weapon and results in you getting hit. Which sometimes it can be two zombies twiddling their fingers in front of your face that immediately takes you down. Everything feels delayed. Every action takes time to perform which like i said can be interrupted by pretty much anything. Charge up that attack, let go, ohh wait you stepped on a curb... so now you get hit, sometimes multiple times, and sometimes leading to death The hit boxes for you against an enemy seem waaay off. Again to try and attempt to feel real, it just feels like a chore hitting anything where you want it to. When an enemy falls to the floor you're forced into a different animation to hit, a downward strike. Its slower, does less damage, and always seems to be off from where you want it to hit. The interactions with people, the missions, the feel of the game, are all places they've improved a lot from the previous titles. And its why i continue to play it. The gore is on point, killing things in this can be a lot of fun. Running around at night can be pretty crazy, it feels dangerous and this is a lot of fun... There are a few bugs me and my bro have both run into, changing our headsets mid game cause something to mess up. All the sound was way messed up until we verified the files, this isnt a huge issue but it happened to both of us so worth noting. Getting hit through walls, or under floors has happened to us as well. Especially with the bigger dudes. But thats not a big deal either its just another thing that dwindles resources and forces you back into that grind... Ehh i could go on more but no need to. All in all its a 10 that could have been but its flaws drag it down to around 6.5.... which is sad because i want to like this game. And you cant tell right away, the reasons why become clearer the more you play.

(This review is written before completion!) This is what seems like the perfect game to wrap up the series (i really hope for me Dying light!) And if you think life is moving slow. Well grab a buddy and suddenly you've spent 50 hours in a day.
Really? Really? Almost the exact same handling, combat system, everything. Graphics are amazing but that's not a thumbs up. Intro is SO DULL. I liked the first boss, a reasonable and heart pounding challenge, but it's not worth the grind/hassle. Man, video games are in a real crap phase. Update 7/12/26 As usual, I'll assume its me, not the video game, and I gave it another go. Nope. It's definitely the video game. Frustrating, annoying, cumbersome, dull, lifeless, and you die all the time. DL1 it was rare that I died once I was reasonably upgraded. DL3 just get used to it. It's cardinal sin - it's boring. Update 7/14/26 Tried again, its a big go fetch quest that constantly starts you at bad locations, the parkour is some of the worst ever, you're constantly figuring out what to do, and don't get me started on the splash fire/explosions. You will ALWAYS blow yourself up. The lazy programming and awful affect radius is pathetic. This is one of the worst games I've ever played. DL1 is rolling around in its grave. Developer is worthless. Parkous meaningless. You die, and die, and die, and die, and its no fault of your own. It's the games fault. Last entry and screw everyone that likes this POS. Update 7/18/26 It's total ASS.
Harika gösteri gerçekten harika gösteri
I'm a huge dying light fan, I'm very happy we got an addition to the first game. Second one was playable but this is a good successor to the OG imo.
Just finished the game last night on a "I seriously need to beat this game before i forget about it" type attitude. So to start off, I love this game a lot, it's a perfect sequel to the first Dying Light, (play that first before this game) and to give a few examples the parkour is a lot of fun, the enemies are always being switched up and doesn't really get boring, and the flow of the game was amazing... until i got 3/4 of the way through. Once i started actually needing to do the side quest in order to be a high enough level for the main quest my interest for this game just sort of died down. The progression from there on was sort of stop & go and I would get tired of playing and start again 3 weeks later. Although, I know if I just kept playing I would've gotten through the game faster but it just wasn't worth it some days. That being said, the actual story was great, combat was fluent, details were there, and graphics could've been a smidge better and more optimized but that's not a huge complaint from me there. 8.6/10 - Story 10/10 - Memories 7/10 - Combat 10/10 - Parkour and Movement 8.9/10 - Game
A great zombie game that should keep you busy for a long time :-)
Combinamos un parkour con un realismo, con unos combates de 10, solo se que necesito mas de esta droga, como gamer se me ponia la piel de gallina al pelear en dificultad dificil. quiero mas de esta droga
