Great movement, good combat, most of the dying light feel can be found here. Unfortunately, they decided to remove 90% of the prologue , apparently forgetting we could just skip it ourselves.
I cant recommend this game to anyone due to the cut content, the sheer amount of cut content. I doubt techland will make the game they intended later down the line, but its painful to like this game and know it could of been more, could of been what it was supposed to be.
i love daddy aiden in dltb
First of all.. Bring back the prologue! If you're a first-time player, go and watch a video of the original prologue, up until the point of him spending the night at the cabin, the current shortened intro starts from there. The devs cut out a considerable amount of context and world building from the beginning of the game for some weird reason.. I feel like I was robbed of a proper introduction to the game, who we are and what our goal is. I recommend the game, but it's not an enthusiastic recommendation like it would be for the 1st game. However, if you enjoyed the 1st game and want more of the same, buy it (on sale), it IS still fun, albeit more buggy here and there (mostly not game breaking, just a little frustrating). You'll feel a difference in movement in the beginning, but once you're used to that, it is not a problem. Also the skills system is a little weird, feels like they downgraded him just to have a reason to give him upgrades. The story writing is pretty bad, there's plot holes and narrative pieces the devs just glossed over, giving Aiden selective amnesia, questionable intelligence and the attention span of a goldfish. Don't expect much. He does have good voice acting though. I miss Kyle. ;c !! Co-op has no story progression sharing, but if you plan on playing it together with your friend(s) from start to finish anyway, then it doesn't really matter, most of the achievements are still acquired regardless of your personal save file progression (yes, including story ones, but achievements can be temperamental sometimes and not pop up, both singleplayer and co-op) and you keep all the items and upgrades (minus story related special tools). You can still acquire a crossbow from PKs even as the co-player, it's just not instant unlock, it seems to be moody with regards to when it gets delivered to you. It's kind of a mess in places, but the gameplay is still a fun experience, especially with (a) friend(s).
I completely understand why there is an 35% completion rate. If you enjoyed the first DL, you might like this one. If the first dying light was around 80/100 this would be lukewarm 68/100 game. It feels bland, unfinished and it is full of bugs and it is cheesy af. Instead of fixing them it feels that live service feels more lucrative. I can't count how many times I felt annoyed playing this game, might even be every single session. Hit boxes, parkour fails, the game feels like it was made for consoles first, I feel that this game tries to waste your time in every corner to prolong the game(Cannot dismantle multiple items at once and each takes multiple seconds for example), even had to restart the whole game due a game breaking bug after +80h. I am just glad it is over. It is not all bad, it has good ideas and I had some fun with the combat. DLC was fun, mostly. It still lacks the impact and feeling of the first game.
I hate leaving a negative review for this because the game itself is genuinely great. The gameplay is incredibly fun, the world is beautiful and the parkour feels so much better than it did back at launch. Combat is satisfying, this is still the best open world zombie experience out there and overall the game has aged surprisingly well. Unfortunately all of that gets overshadowed by one baffling decision. Sometime after Tencent got involved Techland completely butchered the first hour of the game. When you launch a new save it asks if you'd like to skip the prologue. Sounds reasonable, right? Except if you choose No it still skips most of the prologue anyway. Around 30-40 minutes of content is just gone. Several iconic cutscenes and memorable sequences have been removed entirely for no good reason. The weirdest part is the censorship. At the end of the prologue, when you first enter the Bazaar, the locals try to hang Aidan. This used to be a full cutscene and it was one of the most memorable introductions in the game. Now the entire sequence is literally just a black screen before the game continues. This is a game where you can decapitate people, cave in skulls and spill intestines but apparently showing someone being threatened with hanging was too much? It's such an absurd contradiction that I honestly thought my game had bugged out the first time I saw it. If this was done because of Tencent or to satisfy some censorship requirements then it's a terrible change. If it wasn't, then I genuinely have no idea what Techland was thinking. The game is still fantastic but preserving a classic should mean preserving it, not quietly cutting out pieces of it years later. That's the only reason this review is negative.
В первой части можно было обмазыватся говном. В это нельзя
bug dolu yarrak gibi bir oyun anasını sikeyim böyle oyunun
They changed the plot by removing the intro, if corpos can do stuff like this then what is the point of telling a story detail that gets removed by an update for no good damn reason other than to "Save time", Absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ move along with adding Fortnite-esc multiverse slop for only the sake of money.. You will own nothing and will be happy.
