May death come upon you DL2 you shall forever be known as the great game that went straight into the dumpster after 3 YEARS! of amazing content until you decide to cram as much BS into a doorway(the game) as possible until the frame broke. May you rest in peace and may you rot in hell for breaking my save file, my will to live, and any chance of fully progressing through ONE MISSION! without needing to reload for it to work properly.
Disappointing to come back to a game and see that it's changed for the worst.
Игра хорошая сюжет отличный Играл бы и играл но работа заебла

Not a particularly impressive game, it's a huge step back from how good DL1 was. The devs don't seem to understand what made it so special. The atmosphere is garbage, the nights aren't nearly as scary, the writing is incredibly stupid and full of plot holes... maybe next time don't fire the only decent writer you had? The game is massive and full of side content, however that doesn't really mean much when you're struggling to care about the world it's set in. A lot of the POI locations and assets are recycled many times, don't you enjoy doing the same exact thing in the same exact location with just the key objects repositioned a bit?! The general gameplay is alright, not great but serviceable. What's frustrating is that you can see the bones of a great game within, and there's clearly a lot of dev talent that went into the game. But they definitely dropped the ball. If you're buying it, way for a deep discount.
Game Borked after trying to do a side mission so now I gotta restart the entire STORY LINE
This game genuinely sucks and it took me 60 hours to realize that
Everyone is rightfully criticizing the devs for cutting the prologue, but they also gutted a bunch of the quests too. I played it back when it first came out and came back to see what kind of new content they've added. I got about 2 hours in and every quest i've encountered has dialogue and sequences cut for seemingly no reason. To the point that the pacing and narrative feel jarringly disjointed. The info dump recap cutscene in the beginning literally makes no sense unless you played the prologue prior to it getting cut. The dev's argument for doing this is supposedly to make getting you into the game quicker and more streamlined, but this game's prologue was one of the only things propping up its weak story. Cutting it and just dropping you into the world is disorienting. It's also a nonsensical argument because you could literally SKIP THE PROLOGUE TO BEGIN WITH, so cutting it to "get people in the game faster" seems disingenuous. It also doesn't explain the random cuts to subsequent quests too. They hollowed out their own game and are being dishonest about why. I guess that's what happens when tencent buys a majority stake in your studio
