Several years ago, I played the free AGS game Reactor 09, a short but captivating sci-fi gem with some great writing and queer themes. Now just recently I stumbled upon this, Drowning Cross, and only about halfway in realized that it's made by the same developer - and it makes a lot of sense when I think of it. Because even though DC is far from a sci-fi game(although it has some supernatural elements), the story deals with similar LGBTQ themes, and the colorful, expressive pixelart is directly recognizeable. As a game, it's short and sweet, and very much a classic point and click title with some pretty good puzzles and a nice mood. The grounded main story about grief, addiction and struggling within a relationship is what makes the game stand out, though, and if you are a classic adventure game fan looking for a short narrative experience about those themes, I'd absolutely recommend it.
Fun little point and click adventure!

Great game! Chapeau! Empfehlung geht raus!
fun, mysterious, and extremely engaging. wouldn't mind playing through this one again
It's very charming. Sure, the gameplay gets a bit tedious after awhile, but the artstyle and the music really adds to the calming, mysterious atmosphere of walking alone aimlessly at night. I like the plot so far, even though I can sense a heartbreak closing in on me.
Juego de aventura point-and-click, con algunos puzles obtusos como es de esperarse de estos títulos, pero de bastante buena calidad considerando que es gratis.
This game is wonderful. I really enjoyed interacting with everything and the amazing, heartfelt story.
No surprise, this game is an emotional journey. Highly recommend.
