I feel like this could be a decent game just need to tweak a few things: - be able to turn the music off/down - have a mini tutorial to show off the controls (i.e. you can turn on the lights by pressing L, and the neon's by pressing N) - Rather than having to press C to customize the car, have a something like a "Garage" or "Tuning" or even "Customizations" to make it more straight forward - make the car feel heavier and don't have it bounce off walls like a ping pong - when resetting car "R" have it reset on the road rather than where you are - Add more cars and upgrades (and name them something else than Wheel 1, Wheel 2) I do like the concept of a never ending road but add some paths which you can choose to go left or right so its not repetitive :)
🏁 Drift Experience Japan - Free Drift Fun With Room To Grow 🏁
My Experience I hopped into Drift Experience Japan knowing it was free, so I kept my expectations in check. What I found was a decent drift sandbox that feels like a promising prototype rather than a finished product. The Unreal Engine 5 foundation is there, but I could tell this project needs more time in the garage. The Good Stuff ✅

🎮 Arcade drift handling is responsive - I could get sliding pretty quickly.
🎨 Car customization exists, though limited.
👁️ First-person cabin view is available - nice touch for immersion.
🇯🇵 Japanese street setting around Haruna and Gunma has atmosphere.
💸 It's free - zero risk to try it out.
What Needs Work ❌

📉 Only 2 sprint circuits - I finished everything in about an hour.
🚗 Car feels too heavy and bounces off walls like a ping-pong ball.
🎯 No tutorial - I had to guess controls (headlights on L, neon on N, reset on R).
🔧 Reset button places the car where I was, not back on the road.
🎛️ Cabin view speedometer doesn't work - feels incomplete.
🎵 No option to mute or lower background music.
🔤 Menu says "C" for car settings - "Garage" or "Tuning" would be clearer.
🛣️ Endless road concept is cool, but needs branching paths for variety.
🎮 No steering wheel support or control calibration options.
📦 No Steam Workshop - would love to see community mods.
The Real Question ⚖️ Here's the thing - am I asking too much from a free game? Probably. But I've seen what this could become with some polish. More cars, better physics, a proper tutorial, wheel support, and Steam Workshop integration would transform this from a tech demo into a real drift experience. Final Thoughts Drift Experience Japan is worth downloading if you're curious about drifting or want a quick session. Just don't expect depth. Think of it as a test drive rather than a full ownership experience. I had fun, but I wanted more - and that's the real sign this has potential. Playtime: ~1-2 hours to see everything. Recommend: ⚠️ Mixed - try it (it's free), but expect a work in progress Hope the devs keep working on this one - it could be special. 🏎️💨 Thanks for reading my review! Drop a comment if you've tried this one too.

"Drift Experience Japan" is what comes across as a pretty low effort kind of asset flip. Nice enough looking cars and backdrops but absolutely terrible gameplay, crap music you can't turn off (go into Windows Sound Mixer and mute the game to fix this), terrible gameplay, always-on motion blur... it's a mess. Drifting car driving games need to have really decent game physics and enough smoothness and intuitiveness in the controls and this feels like a bare basic driving game template. All the pieces add up together to make something that, if it isn't an asset flip, plays worse than most of them do... and that's why this is garbage. The game assets here look a lot better than the actual game they're assembled on... that doesn't mean this is necessarily an asset flip or a kitbash, because there's no proof. But what matters is that this has all the same terrible quality as asset flips, and at the end of the day that's one of the reasons people don't like asset flips, the quality is bad. That's a problem. Let's talk about pricing and the actual value this has for gamers. This is "free" enough (not every "free" game in the "free" section is truly free, there's usually some hidden price tag), at least you won't be expected to spend any more money after you download this, but just because something is free doesn't mean it's good, and the cost of a game is more than just financial, your time is valuable too. Despite being a "free" game, this couldn't break triple figures, according to the player counts we can see on SteamDB, it's just in the double digits, and now it's not even getting those kinds of numbers. There's over 130 million gamers on Steam... this failed to appeal to almost all of them, most likely because of some or all of the reasons I supply in this review. This "free" game won't count toward your game collection count on your profile. With that in mind, is it something you should still download? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
This game is so bad for drifting idk how the developer decided to make a car drift game cuz he doesnt know nothing abt drifting. The car is so bad to control and when i want to do 360 i make 5x more than i wanted. The graphic are good but there is blur motion that need to be removed, at last to have that future where u can disable it or enable it, but i recomand it to remove it, it is so bad I wish i never ever had to play this game, it got me so mad cuz i cant control the car how i want them. If the developer still alive updating the game, ig he doesnt care abt the game he just put the game on steam and doesnt care, if he is still here he should update the game give us more detail abt the graphic.
♥♥♥♥♥ полная, как будто разраб взял готовые ассеты и схуярнул этот высер.
- Classic phonk music playing in the background - Strange graphics and the style is overall okay but very weird for anyone - No option to save key binds to arrow keys literally kills you mentally - Inside camera is so chaotic that it makes you want to throw up - I would be terrified to launch this game in VR

THIS GAME IS AWFUL NOTHING LIKE ANTHING RELISTIC SO MANY BUGS feels like the creator just gave up mid way
Every surface is an ice level, I hate ice levels. Not to mention if you change certain graphics settings, more often than not your whole screen will become near impossible to see. Peak game design. Also GOD is that music downright obnoxious after the first 5 seconds (with no way of turning it off mind you)
