Pesca lovecraftiana
A game for players who like plugging away and grinding through fetch quests. Still, it's compelling: if you'd asked me if I would spend 43 hours playing what is essentially a series of fishing mini-games, I would have laughed. The Lovecraftian horror is what brings you back.
Very atmosphreric, cozy, kinda horror like which I like. Love it
The overall of this game is great. The puzzle is not very complicated, so it's pretty easy to get through everything. The graphic is also pretty nice, especially the wave and the fish's art design. Although sometime I wish we could pin point the map and it'd tell us where to go but I guess it's a better experience to get there by yourself with the provided map(If there's this function in the game already then I'm sorry cause idk how to do that but if there's none this is just my opinion!).
For a game about Fishing and the Deep, the Game’s lore and NPCs are pretty..shallow.. Fun game but I wish some NPCs weren’t just a one quest deal, would love to see how things from the DLC or Late-game affect certain characters or the world
Its super duper fun DONT GO TO GALE CLIFFS SCARY MONSTER
Mmmm... fish.
If you don't know what the "Cozy Horror" subgenre is then Dredge gives a great example. It lets you approach situations calmly and at your own pace while still mainly putting pressure on the creepy elements. It's less about trying to unsettle the player and much more about creating an atmosphere to set the mood. With that said, I will admit the game doesn't quite succeed in that regard a hundred percent of the time. There's A LOT of reliance on randomly occurring events for the horror and while they can occasionally catch the player off guard, they quickly grow stale and become little more than an annoyance. Personally I am much more engaged by the very few scripted horror sequences that properly predict the player and their responses, I only wish there were more. In terms of gameplay it manages to stay simple while also consistently mixing it up by introducing new gimmicks that never feel unintuitive or unfamiliar. The fishing aspect is pretty basic but everything around it is fine tuned to a high standard and ends forming what is a fishing game with surprisingly little frustrating RNG mechanics. Yes, the entire game is essentially a collection of fetchquests but through the ambiance and the optimizing you're allowed to partake in it rarely ever gets mindless. It's a solid package that lets you wind down while somehow keeping you on edge, try it if it looks thrilling.
Great game
