Amazing Game with nostalgic pixel art!

Great Game!

This was honestly a great game. I wasn't expecting a lot when starting, but I did enjoy my time with the game! The combat stays interesting throughout the game, the art and music are both great, and I got really invested in the last few hours. Definitely pick it up!

Reviewing this, the kickstarter backer in me is wanting to defend the game's flaws, and the reviewer wants to be honest. This isn't a perfect game. It has a lot of flaws. There's pacing issues. There's difficulty ramp issues, and the environments can be pretty sterile and boring. However, there is a nice story here, some good design and pixel art work, and the gameplay has moments where you hit flow and you feel like you're playing the game the way it's supposed to be played. Sometimes it feels right, and sometimes it feels very wrong. Sometimes it's doing its own thing, and sometimes it has an ATM system where you can protect your money you rarely ever spend because it's easier to collect and conserve it by playing the game well. In short- it's muddled, and is trying to be a couple different things. and not doing either very well. I guess overall, if the idea of an emotional Earthbound (Mother) crossed with Undertale inspired RPG gameplay, you'll love it, maybe. Me, personally, I tapped out about 3/4 of the way through. I watched the ending online, and I don't feel like I'm missing much. So, this is an only slightly positive review- one I'm giving because this developer deserves more opportunities to perfect their craft. At this point, this experience felt like a freshman exercise to a much larger and better game in the future.

SUPER joc, recomand, arata precum earthbound de pe nes. Looks and feels like earthbound, but with better graphics, wish they can sit in game, maybe they can add it and more weather effects. THIS is 10/10 game!

Dreamed Away est un jeu qui, au premier regard, nous rappelle un temps passé, un temps d'insouciance, d'albums panini, de jeux 16 bits joués sur écran cathodique, et de chocolat chaud. Un temps cosy où tout pouvait sembler simple et rassurant. Simple, ce jeu ne l'est pas, il faudra s'armer de courage et d'un bon meilleur sens du rythme pour parvenir à vaincre un large panel d'ennemis disposant de leur propre palette d'attaque. Rassurant, ce jeu ne l'est pas non plus. On plonge rapidement dans l'histoire de Théo qui part à la recherche de sa petite sœur disparu. Au programme, une plongée dans un univers magique mélant de charmants paysages en pixel-art et une myriade de personnages attachants. Mention spéciale aux korrigans, toujours prêts à venir nous jouer de vilains tours. Je conseille à tous ceux qui ont souhaite découvrir une histoire originale avec une partie non négligeable de challenge.

In the relatively short time I had to play this game, it did nothing short of blow me away. The art, the atmosphere, the sound design, and especially the writing were all absolutely stellar. I cannot wait to play more of this game, and genuinely think it's a travesty that it doesn't have more reviews.
