!--This review might be biased, because I helped test the game.--! I am a big fan of strategy building and tower defense games and this combines both of those games into one! It is a lot of fun to play and to experiment with the diferent towers and units. Of course there are some bugs and exploits in in this game, but the devs know of them and they are activly trying to fix those and to add more content. Overall I would encurage everyone who likes strategy building games and tower defense games to give this game a try and paint their own picture. But if you want my oppinion: It is a simple and fun game to play.
It's They are Billions meets a very simplified Factorio. Gameplay is surprisingly deep for a tower defence, city building aspects really mesh well with the tower defence ones. It's early access and is still needing more work, but some really clever mechanics. Art is nice too

I see a good game that was released way to early into early access. While the core gameplay looks fun and promising, the game engine is so disfunctional that I sometimes cant even be sure if I play the game wrong or stuff is broken. - Turrets ignore enemies: So far it is a coin flip if a turret needs a moment to recognize that an enemy is in range, fires directly or never fires at all. 90% of all my buildings lost were turrets that were not defending themselves. Ignoring all other issues this alone completly breaks the game - ressource management: the game feels like either ressource spots should be infinite or wood should be regrowable. I constantly ran out of wood and sometimes rarely out of minerals, but I always hat a ton of the 3 magical ressources. - the whole expansion and caravan system: There is no way I see a future were this system is salvagable. It is only there to annoy and confuse the player, make the economy even more confusing. Why do buildings get more expensive the further they are away from the base? Why? We are already prevented from expanding too aggressivly because buildings have to be connected to work properly. I lost 2 games until I understood why I constantly ran out of ressources. - I lost 2 games by running out of wood before reaching a second forest - Massive memory leak: I started the round with 120 fps and ragequitted when I went under 5 fps after 2h - my HQ took randomly damage without any enemies in range and having turrets all around it in case an enemy had clipped into the textures. at 700 HP it stopped taking damage - ressource leak: in mid game I mysteriously started losing ressources. I had a ton of mines and woodcutters but my wood and minerals were constantly 0 and I couldnt figure out why. - sometimes buildings never get build - units feel worthless, especially melee units since their survivability is like a snowflake in hell and they cost more than a standard tower that has way more health and damage
^_^
Disclaimer: This review is posted shortly after the game has been first released in early access. The game might have changed by the time you play it. First, it merits its early access tag. A few bugs here and there, a few balance issues and typos are making the game somewhat unbalanced, especially by your 10th playthrough when you've fully explored all the possibilities. However, I fully expect these issues to be solved by the next patch or two, as the devs are really active on the dedicated discord. Overall, it's a fun game. The mix of genre is well done, I really enjoy planning my city development while building an advanced network of towers to protect it against incoming monsters. I'm usually zoomed out trying to see more of the map, but when I'm closer to the models and I pay attention, the art style and attention to details are pretty nifty. The game flow feels good, always trying to build more towers closer to the spawning points, exploring the huge map and countering the corruption. You have to be strategic with your tower placement, use the natural chokepoints to avoid being overwhelmed. The units feel a bit weak and all similar, but the devs have mentioned it's part of their later roadmap, and I trust them to listen to the feedback. The biggest downside is, again, the early access. The game is not finished, and it shows. However, it has all the basics to be a fantastic game once it's complete. I can't wait to recommend it.
It's a fun resource managing city builder reminiscent of Civ games but it's all real time. Tips: You need wagons to move your resources around, I built storage but it wasn't being used because the wagons weren't carrying them over, makes sense but there's no tutorial to teach you yet. You can buy/"hire" troops at the royal palace I think it was called, these are instantly trained but also more expensive than buying through your barracks once you have one up. Clustering like buildings (i.e. housing and farms) allows for them to tier up (when one is surrounded by two or three similar buildings) making them more productive, you need to research that "technology" first though. Towers are strong but can cost quite a bit, troops are easier to deal with but can die quickly if outnumbered. City walls don't do anything but look cool, enemies will walk right into your city and start attacking buildings. Ruins: You can find and explore ruins by sending one troop to "explore", every time they enter it spawns enemies in the area that will attack you or run to your city and attack that. Explore enough and you will start to get different resources that go straight to your storage somehow even without wagons. Annoying: Wagons are dumb, the wagon drivers usually take the same route which I quickly fortify with towers/troops to protect them from wandering baddies. Ten minutes later I get an alert about wagons being under attack and find out they decided to take a trip around the world so to speak. Also annoying is that the game seems to corrupt between save and quits, the first time I saved and quit out everything was fine. When I logged back in though I wasn't able to move my units anymore. Either way there is room for progress and it is somewhat engaging, worth the buy if on sale in my opinion although it still needs a bit of polish.
Game is dead. Do not buy.
Поки що занадто Early access, але буду спостерiгати.
I have only one thing to review - lovely game in appearance. Having only played four hours, I reached a wall dealing with starvation - that prematurely ended each run. What is up with the caravans? Work on that - perhaps I need a tutorial to hold my hand , so I would be grateful if you did.
this game very fun and very addictive
