No es el mejor DOOM pero entretiene bastante
Peak modern Doom. Best of the trilogy IMO, sad what happened to the studio after this incredible DLC. Revelations took the already great foundation and perfects the gameplay outright, with better enemies and weapons and an even wilder story than base game. Cutscenes are pure cinema. Just an all-around pleasant experience with this installment.
The best Doom ever made—ignoring the haters. I’ve been gaming since the days of playing the original Doom on a PC over a dial-up modem with blocky graphics and zero story. Coming from that background, Doom: The Dark Ages is an absolute masterpiece and easily the best version of the franchise I have ever played. The development effort poured into this game is staggering—with 22 chapters, it's a massive, substantial single-player campaign that completely respects your time. Instead of empty MMO grinds or live-service treadmills, you get an epic story, killer graphics with incredible path tracing, a diverse arsenal of unique weapons, and unpredictable, high-octane combat. I honestly cannot understand the negative reviews. For a pure, uncompromised, high-impact single-player experience without the corporate fluff, this is a 10/10.

Main campaign 6/10 - most weapons are good and fun except for both "skull" guns, which suck - atlan sections are cool for the first time but after that become extremely boring to replay - missions could have more enemy density overall, some sections felt really empty and most of the time i was expecting more waves of demons to kill - campaign is easy even in the hardest difficulty the game offers (nightmare, i dont count pandemonium or ultra nightmare because i dont like perma-death mechanics), though i did die 2 times on enhanced azhrak - i won't say "music bad because no mick gordon" but the main campaign music isn't as iconic as mick's nor does it hype you up like older DOOM songs or the DLC soundtrack, still an ok soundtrack though DLC 9/10 (taking out 1 point just because of how short it is and because Xal'Goroth is pretty easy) - combat is actually challenging, i died multiple times during some sections of each mission - enemy density got "fixed" and arenas felt like actual arenas, unlike the campaign with 2 waves of fodder demons + a few heavies - puzzles are more engaging, removing them from the map until they are found was a nice touch - spear feels amazing, the most fun weapon in all of DOOM games - the new lore, even though it's short, is really good and hooked me more than the main campaign lore - the DLC soundtrack is the best music this franchise has ever gotten, saying mick's is better is cope (i still love 2016's and eternal's soundtrack but finishing move took DOOM music to a whole different level in the DLC)
Yeah, I mean, what can I say, it has a slightly different flavour but at bottom it's still just more DOOM and what's not to like about that?
Banger game, as was Eternal and Doom 2016. Granted it's much different from Eternal, more so than Eternal was from the first. It's a big departure but having played it, it's very welcome. It's not just fresh, it flows better than anything before. Less movement, different movement. The shield is a huge addition, it gives the game many new options, parrying fits the game surprisingly well. The weapons feel great, especially the new additions, the melee options. Awesome imagery, great ideas for this setting and they indulge in it with silly things which is great to see. You even get to play with ancient mechs and a dragon, the latter is admittedly not that fleshed out. The game runs like a dream with frame generation, but without it it's heavy, don't mistake good optimization with the game being viable for old hardware, it's not. Definitely try frame gen. Some things I didn't like, the story is eye-rolling and boring you to tears at the beginning. Later on it's alright but it doesn't get you on board to begin with. Not many will care but the game as a whole would work better with a proper narrative. The music is not much of a factor sadly, it's alright but mostly forgettable and indistinct. I wish there were more finishers, there isn't much variety when the opportunities were endless. It's a great way to tie off the trilogy, 3 different but super fun and brutal games each in its own way. If you liked the other 2 games I don't see how this is not for you.
Great game, finished it in just a couple of days. The combat in this is easily the best of any DOOM game, IMO. Compared with Eternal, the time it takes to perform executions feels much quicker and there's generally fewer of them which helps preserve flow. The shield and spear were a lot of fun to use and the parry system felt really satisfying as well.
