The game itself is quite good honestly for gameplay alone it would be my favorite kart racer... BUT theres more than just gameplay to this. If you are lucky and the game doesnt crash just because it fells like it you get to play against people that spent way too much money and just win because they have a faster character, and how do you even explain the pricing of literally anything in this game. Good game killed by monetization no f2p support what so ever and constant crashing that no one seems to intend on fixing.
Disney Speedstorm is what happens when Disney decides kart racing needs more velocity and less peace of mind. You pick a familiar character and then immediately get launched into a storm of boosts, abilities, and multiplayer regret. It is cute until the race starts. Then it becomes a full emotional support breakdown at 120 km/h. Chaotic. Overstimulating. Strangely addictive.

man this game is weird. I remember seeing this one pop up a while ago online but never actually got to try it out until recently. I can see some Disney adults somehow getting into this, for like maybe a week upon launch, but 3 years in I'm shocked to find out these mfs actually make some cash off this game still, mostly mobile and from whales. Now I (sorta) get why people spend all their doubloons on fictional characters in gachas or wanna play as their favorite characters in toybox-like games like Fortnite, but nobody looks good in Disney Speedstorms. The characters just don't look appealing, the entire visual design, music, sounds, and style is just NOT Disney at all and not very good either. It's rip off Fortnite that's polished but soilless. Not surprised who's behind this but still. I don't think anyone would be shocked that a cheap, predatory Disney kart racer is lacking in the "they did it right" department. The actual racing is almost good but the karts don't quite feel right. Drifting one way then quickly another feels awkward, tracks have no shortcuts, there's no catchup mechanics or items that can slow down who's up ahead, the systems are just kinda all over the place. I will say, as of the current version they're on the game has no performance issues. Maybe I got lucky I dunno. A funny glitch my friends and I found out was if you explore the menus with another local player controller, let's say Player 2's controller, the game will think you're idling and just kick you out. Fantastic. Had more fun just making wacky jokes about this game with friends while playing splitscreen more than the game itself. If you're a Disney fan and you want a racer, well, do you want bad news or worse news? Maybe stick to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe if you haven't played that, or try The Karters 2 if you're into kart racers and crazy mods.
Jogo to, pentewin
At first I was dramatically confused, You have layers of code i cant access. Then I played a while. This game generates levels. And there are more characters than you could imagine. I hope there is a minion racing team. And If I put other characters in my car. Does it slow you down? encumberance? Like wind drag with the big guys? Thanks for letting me race with you all. I'm Glad some toys got trophies this year. Excited for a new season.
All in all, not too bad. The game mechanics are fun and polished. Just quite grindy as most Free2Play games are. You're very incentivized to purchase characters.
5 year old loves it!
O jogo é bem divertido! Só não é melhor se não fosse tão instável. Precisam melhorar isso urgente!
I love Disney so it is nice to play a cute game & see all the characters
