Fun for about 20 minutes, not much replay value
Similar to other famous crash-and-burn pileup games (i.e Burnout, Destruction Derby, FlatOut) Dirty Harry's Thunder Drive carries the tradition of tasking layers to destroy other vehicles at the expense of theirs becoming ultimately totaled. However they're able to earn bonuses to not only improve their vehicle but cause further destruction that often becomes truly messy but still somehow darkly entertaining. However, the problem with this game immediately occurs after numerous attempts of the unchanged routine. The more crashes players experience the more points, or gears, they'll earn to add more flavor to the experience. But there's never enough challenges to extend the enjoyment of constantly watching points rising higher than every pileup. Once players manage to exploit this feature they're overpowered and there's no further stage progression to give their new tools more usage. What it's missing more than just more challenges are stages to justify obtaining upgrades. The only level players are given slightly changes when they've decided to add other vehicles and car modifications. Sometimes, depending on the distances and impact of pileups, they're sent elsewhere ironically caused by bad collision. Had there been more layers to the one stage players are given, it'd at least be more worthwhile being a huge menace to unsuspecting drivers and oblivious pedestrians. That reminded me. There's NPCs that could be "killed", thus ranking higher points, but there's never enough of them. An entire stage devoted to hit-and-runs upon human characters would've been satisfying to someone's inner sadist but even then it feels like another underutilized concept. There's plenty of great ideas that could've been done that are left either unused or reaching their potential halfway due to the limited mechanics and stage design. The upgrades are also cool but they still feel like cheat codes that only add flair at the convenience for extra fun and not actually improving the game. At full speed, Thunder Drive is thrilling while it lasts. But alas, its transmission blew out too soon for satisfaction.

Super weird but strangely a ton of fun. Would be more fun if the car was a bit easier to handle, there was an option to continue previous games and a restart option. Would definitely pay a few bucks if it meant getting these or other options. Would definitely pay a few bucks for the game if it meant improvements like those
Enjoyable, and worthwhile considering the price (free). However, it has very little to do with racing, the category I selected to discover this game, and from an image with a car.
Good stress relief. All unlocks done in 10 mins or less. The only 2 flaws... no exit button, and during the 1/2 hour I gave it, no chop shop functionality.
burnout crash mode: LiDL edition
fantastic way to waste half an hour
sick
