Well, sometimes you get what you pay for, and this one was free. It is a very small experience, with only one interaction (two if you count pulling to trigger to board the triceratops), and runs about 3 minutes. I had to run it through twice just to get enough time to post a review. Graphically, it's OK. Kudos to the creator of the asset pack purchased to create this, I doubt SIMSREALITY had the chops to make these originally. There is clipping, the triceratops is pathed to walk directly through a tree at one point, and for some reason the trees in the background are tracked to your headset, so they are constantly bopping around like a forest from a 1920s cartoon. Floating vegetation? Check. Nothing much happens. You lumber around a loop on a triceratops' back, spawn some roast chickens in a feeding box (which makes a weird cartoon *boing* for some reason), a T-Rex wanders in, eats the chicken, then lets out a muffled, scratchy roar that I swear was ripped straight from a TV playing Jurassic Park and using a cheap microphone. He wanders off and you circle back to the starting point. Free? Sure, but it costs you hard drive space that could go to a better experience, and it's not worth keeping around to demo for friends and newcomers. Try it and delete it, or just watch the store video; it has all the highlights anyway.

Dino Tour VR is not a game. Games contain meaningful gamelike interaction and game loops, which are absent in this software. Instead of being a game, Dino Tour VR is a software application that is a garbage 2 minute long VR video where you are carried on the back of a dinosaur and look at a couple of other dinosaurs. I think the dinosaurs are probably asset flipped. For those unfamiliar with what actually makes something a game, a "game loop" describes the interaction and feedback a gamer has when playing a game. Tetris, for example, has a game loop where a random block appears, the gamer interacts with the block to position it, and then the game decides if that finishes a row or not, increases the players score if any rows were completed, then gives the gamer another block to position. Counter-Strike has a game loop where a player seeks another player, tests their skill against that player by shooting them or being shot, the computer rewards the player if they win, and then if the player survives, they repeat that loop. There's no loop here, no true interactive feedback. It simply is not a game, it cannot be "played". This has misleadingly been launched in the "Games" section of Steam instead of the "Software" section. This is a common mistake for developers who are new to Steam, or don't understand the difference between games and software which isn't a game. It seems this software published incorrectly as a game is simply lack of experience/knowledge of the correct process. Here's a link for the process to publish non-game software on Steam: Steam Developer Help With Software Publishing It's unfortunate this process was not known about/followed, resulting in a software application being published in the wrong place. Publishing things which aren't games on Steam in the Games section as games is misleading to gamers and somewhat harmful, because it pollutes the Steam marketplace and takes away visibility and market exposure for genuine game developers who do the right thing and make games for gamers. There are no gameplay loops in this software, no "gameplay", no meaningful game like interaction. It's a software application and as such has no merits as a video game for gamers. Because of this, I cannot recommend this non-game software as a game to gamers.
The program will not allow you to drop food. Cant get further than the first 30 seconds. Sad because it could be a good program.

Small map. Feed chicken to a T-Rex. 3.5/10
To jest dramat po prostu...
For a free VR experience, this is great for kids my daughter loved it. It's only about a 2 minute thing, and there is a LOT of work that would need to be done before I could justify paying more than $0.99 for it. For free though, its great. You ride a triceratops around a short little loop, use your stick to put food in the feeder for a T-Rex, then ride back to the start. There are other dinosaurs around that you can see. The feeder is a bit out of reach, i had to practically step into my wall to reach it.
