Ever since the introduction of VR worlds, digital art galleries have been there, and unlike real life galleries, the imagination is our limit on building these magnificent show cases. It unlocks the boundaries and widen the perspective of how art can be passed on to another audience. But like real life arts, only a handful of people appreciates them. Especially with older (and even younger) generations that can't get their mind around how a "game" can be "artistic" and viewed it using the perspective of a gamer. Yes, if you use a gamer's tinted glasses to view such galleries, they are nothing but a walking simulator which can even be boring to you. Just like how real life art galleries bore you to death. But if you are viewing it from the point of view of an art lover/appreciator/connoisseur, then what you see here is a way different world and gets to appreciate what the authors are trying to express. Especially with the VR headset introduction to the gaming world. Medical, Arts and even musicians have their way of enjoying the VR environment in a brand new way. And creators have swarmed and flooded the VR headset applications with such galleries to a point that, it's become really hard to find a good flawless gem among the wide ocean filled with similar looking stones. Digital Zoo Gallery here is no other than a digital art gallery, with only 3 small galleries to explore that you can probably finish in minutes, and slightly longer for snapshots enthusiast. Just that it has become pretty rare for this genre to show up as a none VR application, especially these are often more popular at online VR social world that allows building, like VR chats and Second Life with more purposes that out shined these single purpose apps. Either way, if you haven't seen such an art piece before, or haven't really tried any other VR worlds before. This might be a good app to start.
I don't often review games, but this one appeared when I was mindlessly scrolling looking for an aquarium themed game late one night. I only really glanced over the pictures, but once I booted it up I realized it was some ai crypto scam once I got into the game and clicked around. I was expecting a Museum of Anything Goes type experience but got ai crypto slop. What a waste of time. This was a kick in the shins after a long day of let downs when most of my games weren't connecting to my streaming software or just weren't working. Don't waste your time on this one, go look for games like Museum of Anything Goes or Poker Night at The Inventory if you want a little whimsy.
No dolphin in aquarium please add thanks.
A lovely way to unwind
At the time of writing this review it's free on Steam. There are 2 areas to explore: Outside ~ Look at the dinosaurs Inside ~ Wander around the under water aquarium to see a variety of sea-life. Very atmospheric and relaxing.
