Digimon Story Time Stranger

It doesn't get any more generic and japanese-y than this even by JRPG standards.... The start is average and then out of nowhere you catch a digimon that you spend the entire dungeon chasing but the plot twist is that digimon now evolves into a "young cute boy" with "animal legs" and saves you from the boss and will now properly play a major part in the story. I honestly closed the game at that point.

스토리 타겟층이 초등~중학생인 게임, 어찌보면 그게 근본이긴 하지. 하는 느낌도 듬 머리큰 사람으로서는 그냥 추억속에 있던 디지몬 보는 느낌으로 함 다른건 모르겠고 디지몬 보는것만으로 만족한다. 하면 재밌게 할 수 있음

The best digimon game to date. If you came from Cyber Sleuth: be prepared as there will be things you like and dislike. I rate only STORY and GAMEPLAY since I don't focus on others aspect of the game. Story: 10/10 Gameplay: 8/10 Story: 10/10 =========== Honestly the story is polished. As you play you will fall in love with the characters in the story. The character development is strong. The story is coherent throughout the storyline. Gameplay: 8/10 ============= If you come from Cyber Sleuth, you can't avoid making comparison compared to Cyber Sleuth. I miss my old digifarm system. This new one is kinda... made easy; behind a paywall. You can still grind as usual but the old one, you can set up digimons to produce the items needed to make your digimon grind better in battles. This one, they removed that and put it behind a paywall. And there's a better paid outer dungeon that just makes you rich and digimon gains exp faster. I am complaining about this new system for digifarm but... I still paid for the DLC because it makes it faster for me to get the mons I want. It's not bad per se since you can focus on the actual digimon battle but I like my farm in Cyber Sleuth better. I strongly recommend to play normally for your first playthrough at least. Digimon battle is well polished. Good animation. Conclusion: This game make me feel like a child again.

Feels like a game from 10 years prior but at today's price. The game is a slog of systems of pages to flip through that aren't intuitive, the writing is terrible and predictable, and the artificial difficulty is just bosses with more hp and BS mechanics that you don't have access to. They also desperately want you to pay for DLC and costumes. Waiting is not a fun game mechanic, but the one they seem to employ quite a bit. I would recommend getting this at sub 20$. Hoping for a better digimon game experience, insane that this is as good as we can get at this stage.
