DMC is an amazing series and this collection is a great start for people looking to get into this game. First the flaws, the games in this collection are really old and may not suit to standards we have now, the controls suck ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, it is actually stupid how garbage the controls of the game are, unless you have a controller which I don't this game is a pain to navigate especially since the fact that even the game has zero keyboard and mouse support and what I mean by this is that game doesn't now show keybinds for keyboard and mouse at all, it shows Xbox controls only which is bs. This game is a port at the end of the day. As a new comer to the series, I was impressed with the first game and the atmosphere it had, I was uneasy in a lot of sections but I really enjoyed playing those sections. I'll be honest the combat is bottlenecked by the controls of keyboard and mouse, there are times where I entered flow state and attained S rank on combat encounters ( I know, that's not that good to brag about ). The bosses are the game's weakest point, because they repeat, you have to fight the same boss atleast 2 or 3 times before you actually kill them which is tiring. Nelo Angelo is one of the games best characters, his boss fights are awesome. The last section of the game is the best area in the game entirely and the last boss is a power fantasy. DMC 2 is a game. DMC 3 is the best DMC game I have played so far, the series finally finds what it wants to be by this game and the game is a joy to get through. Dante's banter and one liners lighten the mood and get a chuckle or two out of me no matter how bad the joke is. The soundtrack is amazing, boss fights are also amazing and Virgil is the best DMC character ever. There some boss fights like the Worm and The Leviathan where it's boring and lazy but Virgil's fights, Beowulf, any of Virgil's fight, Cerberus, Nevan which are awesome. The game's story is a lot more present than in the first game and the Dante that we know and love is here in his prime. The game is chronologically the first in the series, so it is a good place to start the series. Every game has horrible keyboard and mouse controls, and is very difficult ( not dmc 2 ) to beat, you will spend multipe hours on some bosses( ♥♥♥♥ ARKHAM ). A very collection of games but I feel it is overpriced especially the fact that it is a port.
