Deus Ex: Human Revolution - Director's Cut

Finally got around to finishing this game. This is good. A bug made one of the side quests unplayable but other than that, no complains at all.

This one's a masterclass in immersive sim design. Beautiful worldbuilding, brilliant writing, memorable characters, and the freedom to approach almost every situation however you want. Having never played the original, I had nothing to compare it to, but it completely lived up to its legendary reputation. If you're someone who appreciates games as an art form, this belongs on your list. One of my favorite features was the optional developer commentary. You can enable it throughout the game to hear the developers explain why certain areas were designed the way they were, what was cut, and how different mechanics came together. It does interrupt the pacing quite a bit, but it's fascinating if you're interested in game development. My only real complaint was the amount of backtracking. It sometimes felt like the game would send you across the map just to turn around and send you right back again. It's a minor annoyance in an otherwise incredible experience. 9.5/10. A timeless classic that still stands as one of the greatest RPGs and immersive sims ever made.

Великолепнейшая, глубокая, и практически пророческая сюжетом игра. Лишь концовка смазана, а так - шедевр. Вот бы первые части ремастернули...
