Moist Cr1TiKaL liked it so i love it (its just really good i like the ost and gameplay) (please use a controller)
MULTI. TRACK. DRIFTING.
Denshattack! is such a well-rounded game for me. If you like skateboarding games of which the main gameplay is to do tricks by controller stick or keyboard, you will like this game. However, if you are not interested in this type of games, you might not enjoy it. In the following, I will recommend the game in terms of music, graphic, and gameplay (and language as an extra). Music: Bangers. All stages have their dedicated OST, totaling over 80 of them. Some of them even featured special guests as the composers and/or the singers. For certain stages, the OST are arranged to have instrumental only version and the version with vocal depending on the progress of the stages, which makes them extra exciting. Graphic: Some people might find the game too colorful but I love the graphic. There are graphic effect for all of your moves like tricks and drifting and later mechanisms, which makes the gameplay experience very stimulating. The graphic presentation for cutscene also does a good job together with the music. Gameplay: The main game is not difficult if you only aim for clearing the story. There are optional objectives for every stage. Most of them are straightforward, some of them could be challenging but doable by several retries. Also the gameplay doesn't require you to do all optional objectives at once, so you can do them separately by multiple tries. More and more mechanisms are gradually added in game. When you feel like you start mastering the new mechanism, you will soon encounter another one. There are pop-up instruction and sound effect for those mechanisms and they are usually related to the stages, so it won't be confusing, but instead, chaotically fun! My favorite design about the gameplay is that the tricks are easy to perform. The inputs of the tricks only require 4 directions and there is no diagonal inputs. Also, the register window is pretty long, so you can rotate the stick in a relatively slow speed for precise movement instead of rapidly flicking it. This design makes the whole gameplay friendly to your fingers and enjoyable. Language: I played in Traditional Chinese text with Japanese voice. Overall the translation is fair and I enjoyed the Japanese VA so much! There is also an announcer voice option which is like an in-game commentator. In addition to the default choices, there are also options of content creators. I picked IRyS who was the reason I bought this game around release date. Her voice motivated me to challenge for 100% achievement!
Most fun game I've played all year. There is so much love and care in this game, and the amount of content for $20 is phenomenal. There is no way I was expecting 25 hours to get all Achievements. An absolute blast with new ideas and creativity oozing out of every level. They never stop adding more mechanics and it's fun every single time. The soundtrack is also an all-timer. Truly a special, special game. Cannot recommend it enough.
This game really blew me away, it had the DNA of a type of game I knew I would enjoy and exceeded my expectations immensely. I was impressed with how the difficulty level never managed to stagnate because of the constant inclusion of new mechanics and obstacles. Also had a handful of super memorable moments that will sit with me for a long while. Definitely up there as a GOTY contender. Highly recommend if you are into skateboarding games, racing games, and/or platformers. Huge credit to the music team on the game, a ridiculously large soundtrack with collaboration from a bunch of very famous VGM composers as well as their own bangers.
trains + tony hawk + amazing soundtrack? best $18 I've ever spent
