So I found this game through a small clip from a YouTube video and it looked like fun so I picked it up, not really expecting too much. I was so incredibly pleasantly surprised to find a game with so much heart and soul put into it. The story, the music, the gameplay, the level design. Everything has so much love and quality put into it and it all wraps up together to create a very enjoyable game.
Oh yeah? Yeah. Ohhh, you gotta. You gotta. You gotta. Yeahhhhhhh. Oh yeah??? Yeah. I know you're gonna dig this.
This game is pure crystallized fun. Incredible dynamic gameplay, amazing soundtrack, and some absolutely peak bossfights. It's a must-play and a GOTY contender for me
So, I get the comparisons to Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater. The comparisons are absolutely there. I’ve perfected my THPS game as far as I can. Am I great? No, but I’d challenge the best of them. Thing is, Denshattack!, in my eyes is more akin to SSX (another game I’ve perfected to the best of my ability. Denshattack! Has so much more in common with SSX than THPS, mostly because you’re on a predetermined track and, with few exceptions, you’re required to stay on that path until you hit the finish line. There are some opportunities to explore and look for different lines, but more often than not you’re just trying to rack up as many points as quickly as possible on your way to the end. I love the zany artwork, fast and uncontrollable gameplay, funky music, the whole ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ aesthetic is off the charts. For a game to come out in 2026 that is so singularly focused on speed, rush, and high scores, is amazing. This game is what it needs to be, and nothing more. No fluff, just honest ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fun the whole way through. I’ve only earned 5 golds, and I ain’t stopping until I platinum this ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing game.
