honest view, Game is enjoyable but its really hard for any jrpg game . thats ok ive beaten some bosses with mechanics but in late game bosses are unfairly hard with self healing and one shoot skills in every turn. its just hentai game with REALLY hard boss fights lmao ok thats ok we say but game doesnt allow you to outlevel or good farming spot , you can farm but reallllyy slow which isnt worth . really ♥♥♥♥♥♥ boss mechanics but art style is really good . its such a shame game with that art style has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ fight mechanic lol
Gave Demonherd a try after finding some art commissioned by the dev and ended up really liking it. I came for the lewd and got a solid RPG with a lot of sovl between the characters, art, worldbuilding and exploration. The game is definitely on the higher end of difficulty for the genre and could use some quality of life features like a quest tracker and world map but I would easily still recommend it. The game can be fun for the most part, and the characters are all great. There are multiple endings with post-story gameplay, however there is no New Game Plus. I would have liked to see an NG+ option so that I can make different choices to get the different endings without needing to level and gear again. This is an important point, since one of the pain points for this game is the grind. Specifically, the random encounter can feel rather harsh as it can occur very frequently, and the fights can be very difficult at times. This makes exploration a bit tedious, which combined with a lack of a walkthrough really brings down the overall experience. Another negative is the lack of a quest tracker. You'll encounter a lot of quests in the game (which is great!), but having to remember what they are and their hints is difficult because there's no log or any other sort of tracking (which isn't so great). I love the artwork and the characters, and concept of the main character is great. Overall, I enjoy the game as it is fun and the characters are all amusing as hell, but it definitely could use some improvements. At the very least, it absolutely needs a quest tracker. Other great to have QoLs would be: - Maps - Fast forward dialogue/skip key - NG+ - Option to rewatch full scenes when repeating them (currently you only get the abbreviated version) - A better Remember Command function. It doesn't work very well currently - Tuning random encounters, or make Kat's stealth skill last longer (avoids random encounters for a time)
I really enjoyed playing through this game. From the characters to each of their stories there is something for everyone. It also has character decisions that will affect how the main character with others and also affects your gameplay aspects which I found interesting. The narrative aspects of the game are definitely why decided to complete the game but the great artwork in and out of H scenes was very well done and also found the gameplay enjoyable. Overall I only have positive things to say about it with a few key details that stem more from the limitations of being made in rpg maker. The combat can be as challenging or as easy as you want depending on your playstyle and history with other turn based jrpg style games. That said I have a small gripe with a majority of "difficult" bosses having one of their gimmicks be that they out heal your attacks thru regen. Not unbeatable but it felt like unnecessarily prolonging a fight while I navigated menus to micromanage my resources due to the extended combat of whittling their healthbar. It also has an inventory bloat issue due to the sheer amount of craftables and recipes found throughout a playthrough which was not that big of a deal for me because I mostly ignored the system other than for recovery items. The randomness and quantity to story encounters and interactions keep the game interesting and fresh throughout with the one downside that you can't see it all and will miss quite a few unless you have prior knowledge of how and when to trigger them. For example, I had missed the majority of npc x npc character camp interactions because the trigger was resting and declining other repeatable scenes so the new ones could trigger. I know that there is post endgame content but felt that i should share a review here after having collected my thoughts on what I found to be the main focus of my review.
I think that there is a lot to like about this game! Considering that this is the Developer's first game, this is pretty solid! First thing's first to note: This is not strictly a corruption game. It certainly has some corruption elements, but if you go into this expecting a standard corruption game formula, you will not find it here. That being said, there is a lot to talk about with this game. The good: (+) One of the biggest draws of this game is the characters, especially the party members. They have unique looks and personalities that play off each other fairly well. The party members have their own individual quests and moments to learn more and care about them. It's not uncommon for party members to make comments on things other party members do or say in conversation. (+) The combat is fun. It's not an easy button-masher. It starts out difficult since you don't have much health or many options, but gets more strategic and fun as you build your party and gain skills. But I can see why some people might find it overdone in some places. (+) The writing is really entertaining, often having jokes or references to other games or movies the Developer enjoys. You can tell they had fun writing this. (+) There is a large amount of H-Scenes throughout the game, and many of them are quite unique and varied to prevent them from getting same-y or stale. (+) The story is pretty engaging and has quite a bit of set-up and mystery surrounding it. Mainly revolving around the two Main Characters, their past, and the true intentions of the main villain. (+) The game is VERY re-playable, having a total of 6 main endings depending on how thorough you are, including a True Ending! Plus an extra post-game section that gives some hints about what's planned for the future. Next, the bad: (-) The game doesn't have any kind of way of tracking quests. If an NPC gave you a quest, then the only way to get a refresher on it is to talk to that NPC again. (-) There is no way to view H-Scenes in their entirety again after you've already seen them once. If a scene is repeated, it'll just show the CG and include a quick line to skip through it. (-) This game has a bit of an overabundance of options when it comes to weapons and equipment. It kind of suffers from a similar problem to Dark Souls 2, where there are SO MANY weapons...but only a relatively small amount of them are worth using for any length of time. (-) Many H-Scenes trend towards the more extreme side when it comes to their content. Beware if you get uncomfortable easily. If you prefer vanilla, there's some here... but it's probably not as much as you might like. They also have several different artists, so the art style of different H-Scenes can change somewhat drastically. This might be a little jarring for some who prefer a more consistent style. All-in-all, I would definitely recommend this game. I think it's worth a try. If you enjoy games like Monster Girl Quest, where you come for the H-Scenes and stay for the story and characters, then I think you will get a good deal of enjoyment out of this game. If you enjoy old-style turn based RPGs that require thought and strategy, then I think you will enjoy this game too!
(((UPDATED Review))) This has the potential to land a spot in my favorites tab. I also herd this is the first of a trilogy well from what I have seen I can not wait. Dialog (Really good the writing is not super cringe like subverse and is well written) 5 of 5 H Content (Pretty Good) Does not need a patch (2.5 of 5) Combat (If you can play a Final fantasy game then you can play this game) This game is good can not wait for more from these devs well done. Also I don't mind grinding I use to mine ore for hours upon hours in world of Warcraft lol. UPDATE! Okay so I stand by saying the writing is well done but what I have been seeing is that that the thing this game is missing in hentai content to match it's well done everything else. What I mean by that is this. Hentai List (Just Some Note for the devs) (01) Pretty much all H scenes are just the main elf girl (02) Movement & sounds in the H scenes would be so much better (03) Customize the elf girls body would be really awesome (04) A visable corruption system would beyond amazing like if the elf girl can get so corrupted that Baull gets scared lol. (05) Hentai Mob Defeat Scenes (06) NTR lol I don't know how you guys would implement this I just like the genre (07) OP Sex moves for the elf girl if she gets corrupted enough. NON Hentai List (01) When using other cloths styles the model changes in game (02) Quest Log (03) When defeated waking up at the last fireplace or city hall instead of having to load the last save. This List can be notes for the next game if you want.
Pros: I genuinely don't know how this game is not exploding. the Art style is Perfect for what the game is. the character designs and their personalities(especially best girl Baal), and the dynamics between the characters are literally perfect and what i would love to see in a game of this genre, don't get me started in the slow corruption "Chef's kiss", truly done better than like 99% of H*ntai games to the point that i can only think of one game that barely matches it in that regard. Cons: Very confusing where to go next after a few hours like i can go to so many places that i'm lost. VERY VERY VERY difficult, the mobs kill u within a few hits up to hours in the game(where i'm currently at) DESPITE having leveled up and equipped a lot of stuff. the difficulty is really the main and biggest draw back, like i got to the point where i save every few steps in some places and reload the game whenever i lose because 1-the mobs are stupid strong 2- your attacks either do 20-25 damage sometimes(which is huge but still doesn't one shot) or like 1 or 2 on your most powerfull spell and i'm not even kidding and i don't even kno why that is i just find it stupid difficult, like sure don't make the game stupidly easy but AT LEAST i expect reloading a save or dying to a boss to be a very rare instance and hard to happen NOT THE NORM Overall< a very amazing game story/gameplay, corruption, exploration wise but the difficulity REALLY has to go down A LOT 8/10(minus 1.5 for difficulty and 0.5 for lack of guidance0
after about an hour or two into the game, I started to really get use of the mechanics. I liked how each party member had some kind of unique gimmick that encouraged you to play and build them a specific way. the story was very compelling with some surprisingly deep and emotional moments i was not expecting from a game like this. at times the sexual nature of the game kind of became off putting, but never enough to make me stop playing entirely. there were some pretty tough battles that i had to retry a lot. The game also never really gave you a good direct path of what to do so a lot of the times i just had to wander around talking to npcs and clicking on random object until story progressed. overall, its a fun game, worth playing. just a bit too grindy and fetch questy for me. if there were like half as many quests but each quest had a bit more to do in them, i feel like i would have enjoyed the game more. 8/10.
I bought this game alongside another game on sale cause I liked the cute amateurish game logo not expecting much, but I was pleasantly surprised. I loved this game. The Story I frankly wish there was more of it, it doesn't feel like what is there is enough and I am not talking about character interactions, which are brilliant, I am talking about the overarching plot of the story. As it stands we get some hints as to what might be happening but it doesn't feel like its enough, at least to me, barely anything happens until close to the end of the game and that's way too late I think. The Characters This is where this game shines the brightest, the overall character to character interactions are the highlight of this game, the moment to moment interactions of you towards Baal and your party members are all great. The Gameplay I have played a LOT of RPGMaker games and this was one of the better ones combat-wise, tho several criticisms I will HAVE to give it here is: -Not enough boss mechanics for my taste, bosses feel like stat checks rather than a puzzle to solve. I liked the way Black Souls 2 handled bosses in RPGMaker and maybe that kind of spoiled me. -Too much RNG also soured things quite a bit for me. For example, at level 10 and with 35 agility, I had issues escaping the level 1 rat enemy on the first cave, which is ridiculous. Also finding a good way to beat the boss but it being so laden with RNG that its somewhat exhausting restarting the same boss for 30 minutes cause of RNG. -Random Encounters....... the devs have said that they will make encounters in the second game different from the first, and yea... please do for the love of all that is holy. The amount of random encounters in this game is ridiculous and keep in mind that you are NOT guaranteed to escape them, so oftentimes ull try to escape and you'll get potshotted by the enemy, this hurts exploration quite a lot. Other Criticisms -The lack of a quest log is a big miss, you get quite a few quests in this game, and you have to remember the details of every single one which is very difficult to do, having some way where you can just open and see "X told you to do that" would be amazing and would lessen the mental burden by quite a bit. -The lack of a Gallery is a big miss, at this point you cannot really revisit CGs you've unlocked. -Quality of the CGs is inconsistent, tho from what I heard from the main dev themselves, this was due to budget constraints which is completely understandable, but I still thought it was worth mentioning. -The lack of an EXP share system means all companions later in the game can NEVER catch up to your main party and party members sitting out of the main party suffer from this too, I wanted to try and use some characters but never could because of how the EXP works. Closing Thoughts Negative criticisms aside I loved my time playing this game and would LOVE to see more from this team in the future in the RPG department, this game shows that the team behind this has a LOT of potential, especially in the writing department. Is this game worth paying for and playing? Yes, absolutely, but keep its flaws in mind and better get a notepad to write down all the quests if you do play it. Also the people on their discord are amazing and super helpful, please do join it if you plan on playing this game!
