Demon Sighting è un gioco strano ed inaspettato, ma che ho comunque molto gradito
markus doesnt know how to aim for sh
Great looking game with a great story.
"Demon Sighting" is more e-book than game, a simple Flash tier (Ren'Py) point and click thing that could have been done in a browser. The plot follows the authors imaginary girlfriend who is a succubus, whatever, and plods through a murder mystery, only badly written. What do you do in the game? Point and click stuff, but mostly just reading cringey e-book/visual novel text. So, it's hard to describe this as a game, the focus of the product is more like that of an e-book/visual novel, there's only minor, shallow and uninteresting gameplay elements. The crux of this is to push some very low quality, badly done fan-fiction tier writing, where we see once more a developer fail to understand the importance of "Show, don't tell", and for whatever reason, weren't able to convey their narrative through gameplay, giving us endless lines of badly written e-book text instead. My gaming rig is not a kindle. So this looks like an old 1990's Adobe Flash game that you might play in a web browser, and the problem there is obviously Steam wasn't intended to try compete with Chrome and Firefox. If it can be done in a web browser, it's not even close to a cutting edge PC gaming experience. That's a problem. The game features really lacklustre 2D visuals (does the developer not know 3D graphics became mainstream in the mid-1990s?). Gamers don't spend thousands of dollars on gaming rigs and the latest 3D graphics cards to play 2D games. Even mobile phones and game consoles can do 3D graphics now. There's no excuse. Now on to pricing and value for gamers. There's no initial download price, but the developer was charging $5 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It seems like a nice gesture for the game to have no up-front cost anymore, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. This is also a bit of a slap in the face to anyone who showed enough questionable judgement to pay money for this... nobody got refunded. In terms of public reception, this failed. There's over 130 million unique gamers visiting Steam every month. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 3 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Given that this free title won't increase your game collector count, is it worth your time to add it to your library? I think you should give this one a miss. Although it's free, your time and storage are valuable resources, and the market is filled with superior options.
not bad story game with range base combat (but you have op power of save&load) but it not a porn game
i hate the save and load screens they are literally the same and i kept accidentally saving my fails instead of loading ughhh made me rage quit sorry it was fun but i get irritated easily /:
Evet oyun kısa ama tekrar oynanabilir veya seksi değil. Sırf bir tane succubus sahnesi göreceğim diye zamanınızı heba etmeyin çünkü değmeyecek. (Yes the game is short but it is not replayable or sexy. Don't waste your time just to see one succubus scene because it won't be worth it.)
