About
Grab the delivery order from your car.
Confirm the drop-off location.
Complete the delivery as instructed.
Return to your car and escape.
Simple, right?
But if things go wrong… well, you’re on your own. Good luck.
After being rejected by major companies despite your prestigious university degree, you’ve lost all hope and decided to become a food delivery rider. However, the delivery app you downloaded seems… glitchy. It keeps sending you to eerie locations—crumbling old neighborhoods, deserted skyscrapers, and abandoned hospitals...
But no worries! As a dedicated Food Delivery Hero, ghosts, hauntings, and even supernatural fights are no match for you. Your only goal is to deliver the order to the customer’s doorstep—on time!
The delivery mission behind each door is full of unknowns and randomness! Earn money by completing deliveries and use it to level up your rider rank. But beware—higher ranks mean more advanced (and far more dangerous) orders. Don’t forget to buy accident and life insurance.
A Quick Look at the Story
Delivered on Time is a first-person horror game where you take on the role of a food delivery worker navigating eerie, supernatural environments. Your main task is simple: get the food to the customer’s door no matter what. But the game mixes this everyday job with unsettling encounters, dark spaces, and strange events that create a tense, mysterious atmosphere.
In-Depth Review
The game has an interesting concept that clearly aims to create a specific mood. The idea of simple, repetitive delivery tasks can work well if it’s meant to reflect a certain atmosphere or tell a subtle story. I can see the intention behind the gameplay loop, and in that sense, it does manage to set a tone that’s a bit different from more conventional titles. However, the execution unfortunately leaves a lot to be desired. For starters, the lighting is extremely dark at times, making it hard to see what’s going on. There are moments when visibility is so low that it really affects the experience. The gameplay itself also feels quite limited—after leaving your house, there’s just one building in front of you, and the only thing you do is climb stairs or walk to deliver food. This quickly becomes repetitive and doesn’t offer much variety or engagement. Interactivity is also inconsistent. Sometimes, the game doesn’t respond properly, and you end up having to push the food around with your feet to make it work. On top of that, the navigation system isn’t reliable; directions often bug out or are simply incorrect. Progression can be frustrating too. Level 12-6 is particularly difficult to find, and there’s a bug in the final level where if you hand over the food and it goes through the door, the interaction doesn’t trigger correctly. The final achievement also feels poorly designed—you have to farm money just to unlock an extra level, and when you finally get the required amount, all you get is a notification instead of a new level appearing. It’s a disappointing way to end the game. While I understand the creative mindset behind the project, the repetitive structure and unclear expression of ideas make the experience feel heavy and a bit tedious over time. Also, some text occasionally appears in Chinese instead of English, which can be confusing for players. There’s definitely potential here, but the game needs more polish, clearer design decisions, and more variety to truly shine and be considered a good game. Scary game that can be a good pick for a horror night alone or with a friend, but with its flaws: - very unpolished, some of the drop-off instructions aren't clear enough, and there's one they forgot to translate (天台 is rooftop in Chinese). - as the title suggests, you're supposed to deliver on time. That, in fact, is not true: there isn't a time limit, you have all the time in the world. - asset flip: the outskirts are the same from Make Good Choices, another game released in early 2025; the monsters look like they've been taken from other games. - sometimes when you drop your food bag by mistake, you can't interact with it anymore, softblocking you on the map. I have to admit, as I worked in the past for a food delivery company, delivering food in abandoned hospitals, poor-lighted streets in the middle of night, and buildings in the middle of nowhere, is very creepy. I myself will never hang around those places without wielding a proper flashlight and a weapon. Every delivery I made gave me that eerie feeling that someone was watching me and was ready to jump on me. This is the only thing Delivered on Time delivered well. Buy at a deep discount though.
