This game is pretty fun, its early access and many of the planned features are not out yet but it has a really cool developer behind it. I posted a bug on community discussions and withen 10 minutes there was an update pushed to fix it. PROS: 1) has developer that reads community discussions and feedback 2) the DLC dont make the game pay to win 3) multiplayer seems fine to me, If you dont join the community discord it will be bit hard to find a lobby (deep space discord https://discord.gg/A9VdQzD) CONS: 1) its early access and has a few bugs but the developer is pushing updates often 2) [strike]crashes sometimes randomly[/strike] FIXED 3) [strike]Updates not pushing for some reason have to verify files[/strike] FIXED All in all this game is fun and FREE to play with friends
This game has great potential and I feel like it could be but the developer doesn't understand the basics of Unity. Everything is so bare bones that I mistook it for a website. This is a Sci-Fi Horror game, why are you Arial as the font? It's so out of place. Also, why is the game already on Version 4.2 when it was released for barely a week? Normally a developer would use the first number as a big update, second number as a patch, and third number as a hotfix. Your version number makes people think your game is a lot further along than it actually is. Also, whenever you patch the game you don't actually fix the issues. You need to actually spend quality time playing the game looking for possible bugs and glitches. I would suggest you take this game off Steam, rework it, and then re-release it. Maybe then people will enjoy it and actually play it. EDIT: This game belongs on Gamejolt, not Steam. Move it to Steam once it's past the concept stage and actually has more than one thing in it.

The game was a really good idea but was rushed out and ended up having many glitches and bugs. The game can get very repetetive at times and needs more content before i can give it a positive review. until then i recomend better games with a similar concept such as "of guards and thieves". FYI: if you look in the reviews and see the player "dont touch me" and check the profile and look at the past names you'll see that its just a alt account for the dev. DEEP DISAPPOINTMENT

Here are my thoughts and suggestion from my initial playthrough. There should be some kind of keybinding map. To enter the online mode to play stand where it says online and press 'E'. I had to look this up. The exit in the main room isn't an exit into the main game it literally exits the game, this can be confusing. The main problem right now is there doesn't seem to be a lot of players, so you might have trouble starting a game or finding one. There is no clear objective for what you're supposed to do. If a player leaves a match there should be an indication. A minimap in the upper corner with a small radius would be nice. There is no indication of enemy health when you play as an alien. It's hard to tell how close you are to killing a human and the indication that your landing an attack needs audio included. There was blood all over the floor but is that from the alien or the human? The game starts slow especially if there are only 2 people but if you get a match with several people once you find each other it becomes more interesting. There are still a lot of missing feature so your gameplay will be limited as it is early access. Lastly paid DLC with a game this early access is probably not a good idea. Recommending for the time being depending on how this game develops but I don't suggest buying any DLC until the dev can get this into full release. https://youtu.be/1n7py1QM0xs
"Deep Space Classic" is a really badly made abandoned Early Access 3D rendered 2D top down PvP arena shooter... which is not a game format PC gamers particularly love (take a look at the top 100 or so games and note how many top down shooters are in there if you don't believe me). Obviously there's no players, this is a dead game. Players abandoned this almost as fast as the developers did, and they abandoned it almost immediately at launch. This hasn't been updated in 6 years... it's just polluting Steam at this stage. They should have removed it. I feel bad for indie devs who have to compete for visibility with all this abandoned junkware. This features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Although the character models look ok... flipped assets, maybe? Mismatched game assets is even worse than having a uniform, if low poly visual style. Gaming is a visual medium, and it's clear the developers behind this didn't understand that. This is only free in a rudimentary sense... the developer has their hand out for a "donation" for this as you're expected to buy some extra, empty "collectors edition" DLC from Steam... digital panhandling. Like the homeless guys who splash dirty water on your windscreen at the traffic lights. No thanks. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at just a dozen or so concurrent players, and now there's basically nobody playing it. Even though it's free. This is a dismal public reception, but it's easy to see why gamers rejected it. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Nope. This isn't worth downloading. While this didn't cost me any money up front, I still feel ripped off.
Very game, needs polished. But it has alot of promise. The only thing I have to say is that I would like to say it that I would like to have the curser be where the "bullets/ tracers" go instead of the curser being the facing direction of the character with the tracers going slightly to the left of the curser. That's my only criticism. Good game, well thought out, I enjoy the artstyle (maybe needs some minor polishing but almost all games could use some), and enjoyable gameplay.
I'm looking foword to seeing how this game turns out in about a year or two from now as the concept and employment of it is great. Despite horror being an "addon" genre it works well with it to the point where you can be in a team of 2-4 people, split up for a couple seconds and think you have found your friends only to be nibbled on by an alien. I personally would like to see the horror aspect expanded on a bit with things such as perspective lighting instead of a topdown where you can see around the corners of walls. The balancing of both sides should be worked on a bit since for aliens they can hide in vents without worry since noone can shoot them unless they have someone with a laser rifle or a mission on their team that can gas the alien out of said vents (If it even has a panel to do so with), as with hunters they could be given the ability to activate panels but on a timer so as to prevent spaming of the gas and total shutdown of the aliens options.
