I'd rather play Deep Rock
Game needs a LOT of work, check back in a few years.
A massive waste of potential. while it was in development, the devs stated that they wanted to take a grittier, more scary approach to this game than DRG. That was an interesting idea; but this game is just DRG2 and it doesn't work. DRG as a game worked so well because its systems, lore, and vibes were carefully designed around it. Classes worked well together. They had rigidity where it needed to be but flexibility where it was fun. The enemies (especially the earlier ones) were well-designed with flashy weak-points. They were designed around the existing classes' strengths and weaknesses. This game doesn't do that. It can't do that. The enemies in this game are so much more generic. They're mostly just stat sticks. The gameplay feels so much worse because it doesn't have the purpose and meticulous thought put into it like DRG, because it can't. This game needed its own systems and identity to succeed. Instead, it tried to recapture what made people love DRG. If you love DRG's visual style and lore, then this game is great. In fact, one of this biggest improvements this game makes from DRG is the visuals and new settings. But if you love DRG for its gameplay, you'll end up putting Rogue Core down very quickly. I'm sure the devs will find a way to make RC more fun and well-designed in the future, but to be frank, the changes this game really needs to truly live up to DRG are completely fundamental to the game's atmosphere, design philosophy, and identity.
Has a bunch of irritating little quirks and issues that compound hard to make the game suck.
Do you like the ape crystal event in Deep Rock Galactic? Then this is the game for you!
Нет тверка. Нет фразы "we're rich!" За пиво надо заниматься спортом. В компании DRG произошёл натуральный 1984....
Cool game, but i dont understand why it has time limits? Ok in DRG:Survival mobs are endless, and you gain EXP from them, i understand time limits there, but tell me at least 1 reason why its in this game? You can explore everything in time, you just need to rush. Oh see that cool structure we added here without any loot, wanna check it out? NO TIME for that, its useless. Game already has limited ammo supplies, you cant stay forever, just like in original DRG, but there was to time limits! Remove it pls.
I haven't played it a lot, but I don't like what it is. I understand it is not DRG. I like the concept of it but right now, I do not like it in its current form. I don't like the enemies at all in Rogue Core, they are just generic, the enemies of DRG had character. I don't like the way the elevator system is set up, it's just not a good transition to the next level. The game played pretty stable, but it isn't very fun right now. Its early access still but I probably wouldn't have bought it but I did want to support the devs because I loved DRG so much.
This game has been nothing but disappointing. They took everything that was fun in DRG and did the opposite. Missions = Way too long Ammo = randomly placed into Narnia. 0 scaling for player count, forcing you to play with a team of 4. If anything you are punished for playing with less than 4 people by removing potential ammo slots.
The game expects you to communicate and play WITH your team but it punishes you and doesn't give any time to actually do that so you end up with 4 players running around playing individual games that often get in the way of progression. Certain enemies are really spongy and you can empty entire clips into them without making a lot of progress and the fliers zip all over and are really difficult to pin down. GL hitting anything from over mid range because everything is SUPER fast (and/or invisible). And progression feels pointless because you don't actually unlock anything that matters. You basically lose until you get enough points to force your way through winning.
