Plays well but there is a slight feeling that you are walking against a wind. Mechanics are solid but it just got dull for me around third smelting puzle as there is a disconnect with the moving smelting pots, and the strange stationary points as it makes turns that felt off. I figure that is far enough for me in a free game.

Firstly, press e. Like No man's sky. There's a lot of things this game things, music in game, a map and at least a guidance arrow to get you around. The platforming is irritating, but that's because of my lack of skill in platforming games. This game felt like a washed down version of the game Valley, if you guys don't know what that game is, go look it up, it's worth it. Basically you get a gauntlet that fires light and enables you to eventually double jump. This game has crafting mechanics once you gather enough reasources and check what you can make by pressing tab. Rope swinging is a timing thing you have to get down by holding e once you're on a rope. I like the mechanic, but it could use some work. Do I say you should play this game? Yeah sure, but I'd rather you go play Valley. If you like platforming and being a bit lost, play this game. I give this game a 4 out of 10.

This game looked really interesting so I wanted to try it out. Unfortunately, I can´t play the game because of extreme fps lags. (UPDATE) The lag issue has now been fixed thanks to the developer and it´s working beautifully! I´m going to keep playing and I´ll be back with more information (UPDATE 2) I have played for about an hour and I really liked the gameplay. I like how you collect items to upgrade your gauntlet. The upgrades allows you to gain new abilities so you can proceed the beyond the obstacles. The rope mechanic flows really well when you swing and let go, but sometimes it lets go automatically, so it has caused me some deaths. You WILL die in this game and that will make you think about your mistakes and how to find the right way or fix the problem. The level designs are cool, the music is good, the darkness makes it more challenging and the gauntlet is a cool mechanic. The big issue in it´s current state are the CHECKPOINTS. The game is supposed to automatically save, so if you ever get stuck you can press "L" to return to the last checkpoint. The problem however, is that there are no particular checkpoints and it doesn´t tell you when it is saving. I did get stuck in some kind of station, I was floating in the air unable to do anything (Please fix) and so I pressed "L". I returned almost to the start of th game where you found the gauntlet. I would like it to have more often checkpoints. Maybe everytime you upgrade you gauntlet. Also when you quit the game, it starts from the beginning. I really like the game so far, but I don´t want to start over from the beginning just because of some ingame bug.

(TL;DR) A fun little game, but lacking in certain aspects Detailed-ish Review Below http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=771522439 (50ish minute walkthrough. Grab some popcorn.) Made with the Unreal 4 Engine, and originally produced from the result of 11 Students from the Art Institute of Vancouver
eh?
for a 26 week project, they decided to extend it and make it a full game over the period of a year. What we got was a lovingly made game, but not without its issues. For example, the lighting in the game is bloody well done; some parts were almost TOO dark (in a good way),
and the way that the light gauntlet throws shadows, and can distinguish between an open area and a closed-in area is a neat little quirk, but does need refining in some areas.
When I got to this part: http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=769717861 I legitimately went, "Woah", as the scale threw me in terms of what else I had seen. However, there were some parts of the game where lighting was broken or thrown into unnatural shapes. Music is also a beautiful boon in the game, and sets the tone of the scene very well. I only wish I could make music like that. There are some things that do need to be fixed, IMO. First thing I can think of is that with some of the pieces of paper, the words cut off abruptly at the end of the page, as it runs out of space Second thing is the door (you know which one i'm talking about) and the fact that it near-deafens you when you open it. Another thing that needs to be fixed is that in some places you can see the yellow items boxes from things that you can pick up. There is also a part of the game that is completely broken, and serves no purpose (but you can progress by simply ignoring it). I actually had to restart the game after getting caught in a glitch there (whihc was a pain)
Final Verdict
All in all, this is a neat little game, but has some issues it needs to work out. 6.5/10
This game is a lot more fun than people are giving credit for. THE GAME IS FREE. Of course, there are free games that are absolutely mind boggling, this game did well. Now, there are bugs, but they can easily be fixed :) The one thing that really annoyed me was the respawn trap I got into. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FJsZ5uZKlKI I did this Let's play so you guys can see, if it is okay with the creators! You can see for yourself that the game runs quite well, just a little dark (which you get something later to fix) and the respawn bug. I hope this helps you guys, but overall, yes, I do recommend it!

For everyone who don't know how to start the game.. You have to press E on book and E again to start... shift is for sprining... If you are soo enthusiast to still try this game, you shouldn't... it's buggy and once you stuck... you can't progress anymore
-null explaination to start the game (u've to press 'e') -some text at the bottom of the book will not appear -very poor lighting, some areas are totally dark w/o ambient lighting -bad spawn location, at larva area, u'll spawn on top of larva and died, sometime u'll sink into larva but not dead and can't jump out of it makes u can't proceed the game anymore...
