Reaping souls of the dead and punching a clock might get monotonous but it's honest work for a Crow. The job gets lively when your assigned soul is stolen and you must track down a desperate thief to a realm untouched by death - where creatures grow far past their expiry.

Absolutely phenomenal action game. Looks beautiful, plays beautifully too. Gameplaywise it's in some ways similar to Hyper Light Drifter, Dark Souls or the classic top-down Zelda titles, and it blends those inspirations wonderfully. Everything about the game feels so heartfelt and well-crafted; there's nothing half-baked about it. I have absolutely no hesitatation about recommending this one. Buy it, and have fun!
Este juego es poesía purs, es como si un Souls Like tuviera un hijo con the legend of zelda
Had this on my wishlist for a very long time and bought it for 80% off and it was totally worth it! Got sucked into the story, Some mechanics takes a little to get used to but they are very nice/fun and not to hard. Story 10/10 Music 10/10 Art style 10/10 Combat 10/10

Words cannot express how good this game is...
jogo maravilhoso historia bom combate perfeito planejo zerar ate dia 20
This game is pretty well made, but is not without some flaws. I'm going to recommend with a bit of caution. Adjusting to what the game wants from you as a player takes a bit of time, but for the most part, this game is fairly approachable in terms of difficulty. Attack patterns are not overly complex or varied, most tells are well telegraphed. The combat becomes a give and take between ranged and melee to maximize DPS. The level design is also great, well made paths that reconnect to previous areas to unlock shortcuts. Your initial walk through a given area will be linear. Backtracking! I like Metroidvanias and the back tracking element therein but it's a bit of a waste of time here except for a few instances. If you're achievement hunting, make sure you back track early to get some boss achievements, otherwise just ignore it until you unlock all the spells. Miss-able achievements! There are three miss-able achievements. I don't normally read through achievements before a playthrough, so I ended up needed to restart my game 6 hours in, and then speed run the first boss after I completed it to get one final achievement. This was a pain. Unexplained Mechanics - I couldn't find anything in game that told you how to access the servers, and assumed it was a movement tech I needed to unlock for those unidentified circles. After looking it up, I was not happy to know it was available all along, just needed to know what to do. This is not really the same as Tunic, where the knowledge gating is specifically a means of progression. The bonus 'end game' content. A really big missed opportunity. All of the targeted end game content has you traverse almost the entire world. looking for a few specific items. Monsters are mostly gone, and was more of a puzzle than anything else. I would give this a reasonable 7/10 with some points taken away for the really inconvenient back tracking and end game exploration puzzles.
Honestly phenomenal game with really compelling characters and world :)
I'm writing this after starting my third playthrough. I originally discovered Death's Door through Netflix's game library and ended up completing it to 100% twice. When I saw it on sale, I picked it up immediately because I knew it was a game worth revisiting. The gameplay is one of its strongest features. Combat feels incredibly smooth and responsive, with clear rules and precise timing. Every dodge, and attack has a purpose, so when you succeed, it feels like it was because of your own skill rather than luck. In a way, it reminds me of the Mario & Luigi RPG games, where landing perfectly timed actions becomes second nature with practice. The learning curve is fair, and mastering the mechanics is genuinely satisfying. Beyond the combat, the atmosphere is exceptional. The world is mysterious, melancholic, and charming all at once. The art style and soundtrack work together perfectly to create an adventure that feels both cozy and haunting. Exploring each new area is rewarding, and the game constantly gives you reasons to keep pushing forward. The story was another highlight for me. It starts with a simple premise but gradually unfolds into something much deeper, with memorable characters, unexpected twists, and themes about life, death, and purpose. I found myself becoming more invested with each playthrough because there are so many small details to appreciate. I honestly hope the developers create a third installment or another game in this universe, because they've built something truly special. 9.5/10. PS. Please make a sequel / prequal with Death as the protagonist.
amazing and funny game
