This is the type of game iD Software should have been making. Feels like a spiritual successor to Doom & Quake. Wasn't expecting it, but absolutely hooked.

Good game

As a avid Tribes player, I was heavily disappointed with what was done with Tribes 3 (which may explain the review bombs). So when I was shown this by a friend I was very hesitant. It's great fun. It has lore, a story line, unlocks, missions, boss fights, a variety of mob types (still finding new ones) challenges and replay ability, hidden secrets and nice graphics. The hard part is trying to ignore all the models that hint at what Tribes could have had. But if you can look past that, there is a great game to be played. 18 hours play currently and still having fun unlocking new weapons and mods. As a HoF, the minigun is my go to, I love it and the combo's with it are awesome. Crank the ammo size, get fire on the go and I'm a happy watching big numbers and mass AOE popping off. Great fun. This is a great co-op rogue shooter, has the bullet play, combo's and makes me excited for the sequel with a story line that paves the way. I had a great time with the story line alone. Its a really fun game and when on discount, definitely a bargain buy.
