A Visual Novel set in the Deadlands Noir RPG Setting from Savage Worlds. * Now updated to include Episode 1 and 2 * New Orleans, 1935. Whoever called this "The Big Easy" sure got that one wrong. Things are tough all over. Honest work is hard to find, and even dishonest jobs are getting scarce.

Reviews
Fun Horror/Crime Noir Visual Novel in a Sorcery/Choose Your Own Adventure vein, based on the somewhat obscure Deadlands Noir tabletop RPG. I have no idea what all the negative reviews are about. I really liked it. The game is constantly on sale, so it's @$2 for a fun visual novel. If you don't like visual novels, it's not changing your mind, but if you like this sort of thing, it's a hoot. Recommended buy when on sale.
Art noir in optima forma.
I like this short, nice supernatural detective story. I found the pace, writing and original drawings very appealing and enjoyable. There are some minor glitches, as for example if you choose your path wrong in second episode you will need to go through the scene at the police station twice, but my overall impression was very good. Though when I see the [skill check] box I would like to see some dice rolling :)
Deadlands Noir is a visual novel set in the RPG universe for the same name (set in Narlean, 1935). I think if you have a full RPG universe, the obvious decision to make if you want to make a video game set in that universe, you would make an RPG. Because RPGs, when done properly, sell really well. So the developers here decided to take an RPG universe and make a visual novel, one of the poorest performing formats on Steam, in no small part because visual novels are not games. For those who love visual novels (and thus don't know about public libraries), this one is a very bad one. The hand drawn art is at "grade 11 art class dropout, did the whole class in MS paint" level. In case anyone needs any more assurance here, the story is bad, and the developers couldn't work out how to make fullscreen work properly. Not hard to do, but let's face it, if you have a rich RPG tabletop game and decide that the best video game for it is a VN, basic things like "making the video game work properly" are going to elude you.
A straightforward VN in Deadlands Noir setting, an urban fantasy pen-and-paper rpg set in New Orleans in the roaring '20s. Cheap, short, and simple story, but nice enough. Treat it as introduction to Deadlands Noirs game... or inspiration. Though, better if you get it when it's under a dollar.
This visual novel has got a really nice mix of characters I got a liking for. It has a good amount of irony and wit and together with the music and pictures it creates a enjoyable atmosphere. It was fun to replay and try out other paths and decisions and that not only to get all the achievements :D Steering worked ok for me and would have been even more easy if I had bothered to take a closer look to the tip and pref section ;) Two stories are out already and as I said, I would like to get some more of those likable charakters! Over all a fine and round piece of work warming you up some hours with a good time. For :me: it is 10/10
Very nice game
overall an alright Visual Novel.
