Awesome game to play with friends

fun, super fun with mods, great story, amazing characters, weapons are sick, replayability is nice, but if u plan on going to monarch theatres and see a butcher there, either delete the game or invite a pro to help,
From the very first moment you step out onto the sun-drenched, blood-soaked streets of HELL-A, the incredible visual fidelity and sheer visceral satisfaction completely hold you spellbound! Dead Island 2 is a beautifully dense, mesmerizing survival-action space where modding a massive arsenal of creative melee weapons and strategically tearing through zombie hordes requires real tactical planning and sharp reflexes, keeping you totally entranced by the over-the-top gore physics. I am completely captivated by how flawlessly it balances a vibrant, cinematic Los Angeles aesthetic with deeply satisfying, crunchy combat mechanics—it is truly fascinating to see how masterfully the procedural FLESH system dynamically responds to every single strike. It is a magnificent, adrenaline-fueled sandbox slasher that thoroughly wins you over, and I highly recommend it to anyone looking to discover the ultimate action thriller! || 🩸 COMBAT: 10/10 🩸 || 🎮 ENJOYMENT: 9.5/10 🎮 || 🏆 PEAK SANDBOX SLASHER 🏆 || (ragebaits so badly if you have a low-end PC)

The playtime is a lie here because i put far too much time into the EGS (ugh) version of this before buying the steam version. Dead Island 2 isn't perfect but for a game with as troubled of a development as it had, this could have turned out way worse. It's very well optimized and smartly uses siloed off areas for its map instead of one huge open world that has to constantly stream in, the loading times are quick and painless, and while it won't win any graphical awards, there's some truly outlandish gore tech at work that I doubt we'll see the likes of again until Dambuster starts showing off the next game in the series. At its heart this is an incredibly 360/PS3 game. Did you like Dead Island? This is a more polished version of that with way nastier combat. The writing swings from Better Than Anticipated to Groan-Worthy at the drop of a hat but I didn't mind it too much. The story is half-finished and just sorta stops, but again, isn't that how like half of all 6th gen games plays out? I think this is a good example of a game you probably know if you're down for or not, but it was a great throwback for me.
