It's a fine game. Not the same dramatic or horror elements as the first game, but still enjoyable. I played it multiplayer with my boyfriend, which I'd reccomend, as I find it can be a little dull without it. It didn't take itself seriously, and at times became a little too meta, like the influencer girl who films you killing zombies. I did like the aspect of being able to go feral on them. The story was meh. Not good not bad, but okay. The ending felt a little too open ended, I didn't love it, but it is what it is. I also got the DLC, Haus and SoLA. SoLA wasn't amazing. It was a large map with large spaces for annoying blobs to attack you from the ground. There was no real music until a large boss. For a music festival, I would've loved more funky tunes. Going from one side of the map to the other was a pain. It was fun in multiplayer, but would feel like a grind in single player. But Haus was actually awesome! If you're not sure on getting a DLC, Haus was what I would've wanted the whole game to be! Gross, kinda funny, scary, and a little sad - the story had me hooked! The enemies were original and the atmosphere was so different to the base game. The horror houses and the forest were my personal faves. I was dissapointed to play SoLA after Haus, as it set up great expectations. Also, the script for Dani was really rough. Ryan has a lot more character and cheeky one liners, and Dani was a little annoying to play and the fake accent got old quick. I enjoyed the game, but wouldn't open it again now that I've finished the main quests and DLC.
good enogh
Any game that forces me to create an xbox or any other account gets an instant negative review. I wanna play, not do administrative work (already do that irl). Didn't play for 7 hours either, I played for like 30 min and it was boring as hell, just same old same old going around smashing zombies. Yawn. The rest of the time I spent in the main menu collecting cards.
