Digital Combat Simulator World
Digital Combat Simulator World (DCS World) is a free-to-play digital battlefield game.
Our dream is to offer the most authentic simulation of military aircraft, ground and armor vehicles, and naval units possible. This free download includes a vast area of the Caucasus region as well as a free Mariana Islands map. It includes one of the most powerful Mission Editors ever designed, network play, and hundreds of AI weapons systems, ground units, armored vehicles, air defense systems, and ships. It also includes a free Russian Sukhoi Su-25T ground attack jet and the famous WWII North American TF-51D Mustang fighter.
DCS is a true "sandbox" simulation that is also designed to cover multiple time periods of interest such as WWII, Korean War, Vietnam, Gulf War and others.
Current regions to battle include the Black Sea, Marianas, Nevada Test and Training Range, Persian Gulf, English Channel, Syria, and Normandy 1944.
DCS World is a deep and realistic simulation that can be tailored to suit any level of experience. Our mission is to deliver excellence and make your dreams a virtual reality. We do this by offering training for complex weapons systems like the DCS: F/A-18C Hornet, DCS: F-16C Viper, DCS: AH-64D, and many more. The next step is the real thing!

DCS World is one of those rare games that I genuinely love, even though I have a few complaints. The level of detail in the aircraft is incredible. Every switch, system, and weapon feels like it was built with care, and that's what makes DCS stand out from every other combat flight simulator. I also love the flight models, the aircraft mechanics, and the steep learning curve. Learning to fly and operate a new aircraft is challenging, but that's exactly what makes it so rewarding. The modding community is another huge positive. There are some amazing mods that add even more variety to the game. Even playing on my admittedly not-so-great laptop in VR, I've had an incredible experience. My biggest complaint is how difficult it is for new players who don't have the money to buy additional modules. Without using mods, you're essentially limited to the free aircraft unless you're willing to spend around $80 on a full-fidelity module. While mods are a great part of the DCS community, many of the most popular ones require paid modules to function. For example, the F-22 mod requires the F-15C, and the Su-30SM mod requires both the free Su-25 and the paid Su-33. That means even free mods can still have a financial barrier. I'd love to see Eagle Dynamics introduce a progression system where players could unlock a few aircraft through gameplay. Maybe players could earn a basic jet fighter, an attack helicopter, and a propeller aircraft by completing a series of increasingly difficult missions. Then, after finishing an even more demanding set of challenges, they could unlock one full-fidelity aircraft, such as the F-16C, F/A-18C, or A-10C II. I think that would make DCS much more approachable for new players while still preserving the value of paid modules. My last complaint is a simple one: where's the Su-30SM? I'd buy that module the day it released. Even with those complaints, DCS World remains one of the best combat flight simulators available. If you're willing to put in the time to learn, it's an incredibly rewarding experience.

Wanted to fly some nice planes and jets instead i was trying to find cockpit lighting switch for 1 hour to get over tutorial 10/10 will forget to eject my ass again
Exigeant et pointu
Heroin is cheaper than getting this free simulator and dumping $3000 into your HOTAS equipment, learning to do math on the fly, stop talking to your friends about anything but planes, learning to solder so you can make your own cockpit parts, and knowing things like what TACAN, ILS, or PAPI is. My girlfriend hates it.
if you're willing to sacrifice your wallet for a bette pc, more storage, a hotas setup, head tracking, maps and planes this might be the game of all time. jokes aside it actually runs way better than i expected, generally i can get 50-60 fps on medium settings
Parece ser de graça, mas o preço é sua alma
This game is the Coolest! if you have any interest in airplanes and the workings of stealth bombers and f16s carrier planes and the like you will love this game everything is supposed to be exactly what you would see if sitting in said airplanes. I definetly suggest this for at least a one time try.... take my word on it. give it a shot.
Takes up too much hard drive space, but otherwise is best PC flight sim.
it is a difficult game, but make sure to have a flight sim controller and a vr headset and its a lot easier.
