Good relaxing game with easy mechanics but quite challenging. Recommended.
A very fun game with a great aesthetic. Simple to get into with some engaging challenges to go for. One small gripe is that the Unlucky Coins achievement is the only unfun part of the game because it relies a lot on RNG. But ultimately, it wasn't too bad to get. A slightly larger gripe is that the monetization feels weird and is essentially a pay-to-win system as you can buy coins to unlock more powerful characters. But ultimately getting all of the coins and unlocking all of the characters in-game is fast and easy, so the monetization doesn't serve much of a point. But despite those two things, the game is incredibly fun to play and very enjoyable!

Fun casual game when i have a little free time, kind of like a mobile game. Some of the characters do have a lot more fun abilities compared to others tho, like the glitchbot walljumping is probably the best. i recommend adding darius to the game to 5 stack the enemies
decent time passer for when my brain's too tired of competitive stuff, i like the simple combat it's almost like an idle game farming enemies
10/10 game, relaxing and cool. It's def way better than the other Endless Ascent on steam
It's a solid game, basically Doodle Jump if Doodle Jump was in a sci-fi apocalyptic world.
pretty nice lidl game
Dark Jump: Endless Ascent is a really enjoyable little platformer that grabbed me almost immediately with its simple but addictive idea. I am constantly climbing upward through dangerous environments while dealing with enemies and trying not to lose my momentum. I liked how quickly the game gets into the action because there is almost no wasted time between starting a run and trying to beat my previous progress. The movement is the strongest part for me. Jumping between platforms while dealing with enemies and hazards requires quick reactions, and the endless structure makes every mistake feel important. I enjoyed learning the different character abilities because each one changes how I approach the climb. Some characters feel better suited to aggressive play while others make certain sections easier to manage. The different worlds also give the game some needed variety. Each environment introduces its own combination of obstacles, enemies and hazards, so I cannot completely rely on the same approach every time. I liked collecting coins along the way because they give me another reason to keep pushing upward, especially when I am trying to unlock more characters and improve my chances of getting further. The pixel art fits the arcade style nicely. Everything is colorful enough to make the different environments easy to recognize, while the animations keep the action feeling energetic. I also liked the straightforward interface because the game is clearly more interested in making me play than making me read through a huge amount of information. My biggest issue is that the endless structure can become repetitive once I have seen enough of the environments. The basic gameplay remains enjoyable, but there is only so much variety that can come from climbing, avoiding hazards and fighting enemies. The presence of in game purchases also makes the progression feel a little less satisfying than it could be. Still, I think the simplicity works well for short sessions. I can play for a few minutes, fail, try again and immediately understand what I need to improve. The different characters give me a reason to experiment, and the increasing difficulty keeps the later parts of a run tense. Overall, Dark Jump: Endless Ascent is a fun little arcade platformer with responsive movement and a satisfying score chasing loop. I enjoyed experimenting with the different characters and trying to climb higher through the changing worlds. It could use more variety and a smoother progression system, but the core gameplay is enjoyable enough to keep me coming back. Rating: 6.8/10
