About
Dark Age Gladiator is a dark fantasy world where you live as a gladiator fighting in the arena for wealth and fame.
The opponents are not limited to humans, but also include a variety of demons.
In addition to fighting in the arena, players can also receive requests to exterminate demons and search for various treasures in ancient ruins to gain wealth that cannot be obtained in the arena, as well as to explore unknown worlds.
As you continue to win as a gladiator, you may find yourself fighting not only against your own city, but also against gladiators from other cities. And in the end, you will make a name for yourself as the strongest gladiator in the empire.
In addition to improving a character's basic abilities through training, player gladiators can acquire various weapon proficiencies, various types of attack skills, etc., allowing them to develop a variety of unique strengths.
Gladiators can wear various types of weapons and armor, which not only change their appearance but also give them strength according to their weapons.
Some armors are finely crafted and some are magic-enhanced, and by wearing powerful equipment, gladiators are able to face even the strongest enemies.
Each of the gladiators you will face off against has a unique fighting style and ability, and you will be required to fight according to your opponent.
Find your opponents' openings and face off against powerful foes.

TLDR: Save corrupted lost hours of progress on a character I was enjoying & can't have multiple saves of the same character so no way to avoid the issue if a file corrupts without going into gamefiles (I have not been able to fix the save) I want to leave a positive review & see past much of the jank in the game. Despite what would mostly be charming jank, except for significant repetition and slight need of quality of life improvements, the gameplay is fun. The jrpg elements seem solid, there seems to be a great setup for the progression in the game. So much of the game is built on progression towards what looks like the ridiculous heights of power you're going to need to attain to beat some of these threats, & that's why it was upsetting to have my farthest along save corrupt after dying in one of the orc caves & lose hours of progress. It also does not appear that you can have multiple saves of the same character in the game, (which is the main reason for my complaint,) so it's not like i could just go back to an earlier save. So even though the spirit of the game has very repetitive grinding elements intentionally placed, I'm hesitant to play the game because of having lost hours of progress in a game about progress, even though I was enjoying the gameplay. I've already exceeded dollar per hour enjoyment so I want to leave a positive review but for this glaring issue. It's probably the case that I can somehow contrive multiple saves of the same character by manipulating the files & such,(& or hopefully save my char. upon which point i'd likely happily switch to a positive review) but even so.
