I love this game, is exactly what I expected from a music compositor. Beside the limitations of scales it was really helpfull and allowed me to compose small pieces of chiptune. I like the interface and the instruments also the option to add effects is amazing (I wish Dev add more soon). My favorite part is how easy you can export your creations (on mp3 format) and share it with friend I recommend this app for eveyrone that want to just have fun with music or want to create their own game soundtracs and even if this app is free on the dev website you can buy the steam version and support this great project cause it totally worth it.
great simple music editor that got me into making music! it's very simple so relatively easy to use.. If you arent sure yet then you should try his web version cuz it's free. btw i'm not sure how to import soundfonts or if that's even available, but i would really appreciate it
This is a lot of fun but I still can't figure out how to make long notes.
its good
It is important to remember when using this application that it is an early access, and though it has become more fleshed out lately there are still bugs or annoying configurations. once you get the hang of using the composer id argue it offers hours of fun to find out what wacky instruments go together and it is a major upgrade to using a lower quality website or the original mario paint composer. when filling out a bug report the creator is almost always responsive and tries their best to solve your issue. one day i hope to pick back up the hobby of making music in the composer and see how far it has been developed!
its a buggy mess, changing the instrument of channels 9 times out of 10 make them revert back to the synth instrument, it crashes, rendering to mp4 makes the song alternate between 4/4 and 3/4 making the notes bug out and loop forever. for 20 bucks, this is NOT worth it, would not even be worth it only for 10 bucks. as buggy as this is, it should be freeware, not a PAID product.
yayayayayayyayayyayayayayayaya silly tunes yippeee
Paint Composer is a simple music composer that covers that urge to annoy my friends with chiptune music. I've never played the original Mario Paint, but Paint Composer has a lot of details that make the songs sound great. The paid version (compared to the free web version) adds sections which helped a lot, though could be improved. It's so easy to export songs (straight to mp3/wav or sending a link is great). No major issues with any of it overall.
I'm trying to find a better MIDI editor as soon as possible. This thing constantly craps out; music channels refusing to change instruments, causing me to have to re-place every note manually instead of changing a channel, the playback randomly deciding it doesn't want to work anymore, causing me to have to save progress and reload... if you came from the website and got this because you thought it was better, don't. The only thing it allows you to do is edit with the better soundfont, and even then, it craps out so often that you're probably better off using the website to make the base MIDI, then using the free version of FL Studio to edit soundfonts. Biggest waste of $15 ever.
If you liked the music thing in Mario Paint, you'll probably like this... because it's literally that.
