Let me start off by saying I initially didn't recommend this game because of some major crashing issues. I submitted a bug report and within a couple of days, the developers reached out to me and let me know that they fixed the problems I was experiencing. They were polite, efficient, and give me confidence that this game will continue to be worked on and polished. The Pros: - Well-designed beat-timed obstacles - Great original music - Multiplayer with Steam Remote Play Together Integration - Active developers The Cons: - [strike]The game crashed 4 times within the first 15 minutes of playing[/strike] They fixed this problem very quickly. I highly suggest picking up this game - especially if you enjoy games similar to Just Shapes and Beats. You'll very likely find yourself pouring a few hours into this well-crafted game.
Really good indie game, it has a great way of making you feel the music while playing. Can't wait for new levels and most of all the new music.
After spending a significant amount of time immersed in the vibrant world of "Dancing Cube", I can confidently say this game is an electrifying amalgamation of music, rhythm, and competitive gameplay, sure to captivate any player. Dancing Cube offers an intriguing blend of genres, masterfully combining elements of a bullet-hell game with the steady pulse of a rhythm game. The core of the game is set in a mesmerizing 3D cube that dynamically morphs to the beat of the music. The red obstacles - which you need to artfully dodge - only add to the thrilling experience. The choice between game modes offers distinct flavors of play. In normal mode, I loved the challenge of hand-picking songs and attempting to conquer levels with the highest score. The game wonderfully intertwines the beat with the gameplay, making for a genuinely immersive experience. And it's not just a solo affair, the multiplayer feature allows for a friendly (or intense!) competition with friends. Infinite mode, on the other hand, brings its unique charm by thrusting the player into a random succession of levels. This truly tests one's survival skills against a relentless onslaught of rhythmically infused obstacles. This mode became an addictive quest to beat my own high score and survive longer with each play. The developers have done an excellent job with the graphics, too. The cube's aesthetic is mesmerizing, the colors and shapes dancing in sync with the music, creating a truly audio-visual treat. It's like being inside a futuristic disco ball, where every wall is a dance floor! "Dancing Cube" is not just a game, but an innovative, exhilarating experience. It's a beautiful intersection of music and gameplay, and I wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone seeking a unique and compelling gaming experience. The rhythm of the beat, the adrenaline of survival, the joy of high scores, and the excitement of competition - all come together in a thrilling dance in this game. Looking forward to try even more levels!
At this stage, this is very good. A 3D JSaB/PA platformer. Will update this as time progresses.
Sehr cooles Rhymusspiel. Macht sowohl im Single wie auch im Multiplayer mega Spass. Freue mich schon auf weitere Coole Songs.
This game captivates your attention very quickly and sends you into the world of Dancing Cube with its colors and moving cubes. It's fun to play with your friends but still allows you to try hard in certain game modes. Adding more interactions between players could improve the gameplay of the game with more power-ups. Dancing movements could be a fun addition to the game, players could use them when there's nothing else to do or to taunt others. Overall the game is an original idea and pretty fun to play solo or with others, I can't wait to see more levels and content added to the game.
Good music :)
Very good game for now. Even if there are only a few levels available for the moment, we easily spend time on the game. Especially in the infinite mode which allows us to try hard to overtake our friends on the scoreboard. I must admit that the mode is quite addictive :)
Soooo, Dancing Cube. In this game, you live in a morphing cube that will try to kill you. To stay alive, you have the following options: [olist] [*] Dodge (move and jump) [/olist] That's it ! The quintessence of a bullet hell platformer. Each level has unique patterns based on an electronic music song (at this state of the game, hopefully they'll add different music genres). On the hardest level, you'll have to memorize the patterns 'cause it goes so fast you can't just "sight dodge" the patterns (at least for me, maybe some aliens can). You need to be really precise with your inputs if you try to get S+. The game don't let you too much margin error -> game pad recommended. For the S+, this game essentially becomes a die and retry. Spoiler alert:
Some levels are really hard
This game has endless level design possibilities. At this point there are 6 levels, which isn't that much. BUT they said more would come (I think there were only 3 when I bought the game). I really enjoy the "infinity" mod to try to grind the ladder, which is a cool addition to lengthen the game. I recommend this game to all the fans of hard 3D platformers.
