not sure why my own video was there but ok
Flat moves. Story: There's no story here, so we're going straight to graphics. Graphics: Ooh boy, looking at the store page of this "game" you can definitely tell that this is quite the looker and I can easily say that once you witness it in motion it really does feel like one big joke. The two models never change throughout the levels, their animations choppy and clunky and not to mention sometimes play too fast and sometimes too slow so it feels, there's no real animation for walking so the characters just slide and when someone loses they just lay the starting position on the floor. Also the backgrounds are bizarre to say the least. Each level is basically some footage of dancers ripped out of youtube (because the quality is lover than 720P) and it loops every so often. I timed how long a single loop lasts and the shortest one was 8 seconds while the longest was 11. Also it's very distracting cause it feels like the background shifts as there's no camera to follow the players, instead it's a fixed plain. Audio: There's no audio design to speak of, all there is a bunch of stock free music that also loops. There's nothing more, no sounds of you hitting your opponents, nothing from the footage or anything of the sort. The game sounds as lazy as it looks. Gameplay: I've played a lot of fighting games and I have no trouble saying that Dance Fight is without a doubt the absolute worst fighting game I have ever played in my entire life and I'd be shocked if anything ever comes close to beating it. So let's delve into it. I'll begin with one thing I always do when I play a fighting game and that's look at the controls to figure out how to do combos, but once you boot up the game it puts you straight into the level menu and I just decided to figure it out as I went along. After finishing the game I looked it up and the dev posted the controls in a steam thread instead of the actual game, which is by far one of the absolute laziest things I have ever seen. So now about the game. The fighting itself feels horrible, it feels like your character is under water and has a bunch of bricks duck taped to every limb of his body, except when you jump then it looks like gravity does not exists. Stringing together combos is basically impossible, because the opponent immediately knows what move you'll pull and block, even when you're not close to him. There's no rhyme or reason for anything that happens in the game. Sometimes when you mash the combo buttons you'll do a grab move, but it's never really explained how to do it. There's only one real move that's worth doing and that's the crouch kick, because the AI does not know how to counter it and just stands there and takes it until you beat him. Also I have no idea what the hell is up with the performance. The game looks like absolute garbage and has no particle effects or anything, but it feels like you're running every Crysis game ever made on a singular PC at ultra settings. Generally speaking, don't destroy your CPU for this garbage. Verdict: Dance Fight is a horrendous fighting game and while the bemusing store page might make it seem like a good joke worth the couple cents, but I'll tell you right now it is not. There's not much to say other than stay away. Final Rating: 1/10 Pros: N/A Cons: - Absolutely terrible performance, which eats your PC - Genuinely the worst gameplay imaginable - Horrendous graphics - Audio design is just horrible stock free music NOTE: I was provided with a review key by the publisher/developer for review purposes on the behalf of the group Completing The Backlog, this did not impact my opinion on the game whatsoever. This game will destroy ur video card. Mine instantly went to 100C and there are no frame limiting options. For a game consisting of the worst graphics in the world, that is unacceptable. I'm guessing it's some kind of mining software. I had to use a 3rd party program just to be able to launch the game without frying my gpu. I won't go into why this game is horrible, but I honestly cannot believe the devs would give this game to ANYONE for a review. All they could be looking for is a streamer to laugh at the game for some attention. This game is a pile of hot garbage that has been rotting in the sun for 4 years. Not even bad enough to be funny. Just bad and unplayable. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1684791736
