Damsels of Vice 2 is more mechanically impressive than the first in the series. The ability to continue fighting in "bimbo mode" strikes a better balance than only transforming when your character has effectively died in the encounter. Both the improvements to the system and depth of combat and the addition of fighting as a bimbo are the two direct improvements. The game does suffer from some actual game difficulty issues, especially with the removal of one character assisting the other while they're in "Peril". In DoV2, Peril in Bimbo mode is basically a loss state on higher difficulties. Escaping is slow and odds are high you're going to finally make it out with next to no Resistance and/or a few hits away from death. In the original DoV, a character who wasn't in Peril could help rescue the other, a big boost at the cost of not acting for a turn and this felt like a balanced decision to make. Do I try and power through? Or do I rescue one of my heroes? Peril is a Do or Die situation, and it feels like "Do" is no longer an option. Conversely, DoV2 has overburdened itself with different skills to break free of Peril but no real reason to care about it. The same is true of other abilities which are mechanically diverse but feel like a case of just throwing stuff to a wall and seeing what sticks. More often than not I found myself just hitting Fight instead of spending HP or Resistance to do something only marginally better. DoV2 is a step in the right direction and the developer has clearly improved on the mechanics of the original DoV.
A good continuation of the first game. I think it would be interesting to have an option of going down a corrupted path, to allow playing as an anti-heroine.

The gameplay is solid and different from the norm. Whenever an enemy attacks you, you have to press a specific key that appears on the screen to reduce the damage you get or avoid it completely. Moreover, some attacks tie up the main characters, and you have to use any of the struggle-type skills available to free yourself. The characters also become bimbos and obtain new skills when they get hit enough times, and then they get ♥♥♥♥♥♥ if their resistance drops to zero. As for the other elements in the game, the story is alright and doesn't take itself too seriously, and the visuals are as pretty as the dev's other games, so check it out if it appeals to you.
Very lackluster game. Most just get games like this for the lewds, and most of those games have 'cheat modes' to them. This doesn't, and the annoying combat quick-react elements don't make the game enjoyable.
so I played the first game and I liked it, nearly done playing this one too and I also like it if you need more thoughts on this game before you buy it, I would honestly suggest looking at the previous game as it is much the same, just a different scenario with different characters beyond that I do have a few bits of feedback and musings that will honestly be more useful to the developer than anyone looking to buy this, so if you're not them, you can probably ignore this firstly healing is a bit of an issue in this game; in the first game you could frequently heal and sustain yourself through out most scenarios, provided that you were playing with some level of strategy. It was really cool because it actually made falling into peril and near death states useful as they'd restore your mana via resting, letting you heal up afterwards if you're timing things right here though, there are no real convenient means of healing besides using items (which require the same resources you need to upgrade, which is kinda not great) and two abilities, one of which doesn't heal you enough to be effective and the other is random, requires settup and can frequently just kill you when used in emergency situations. I'm really confused about this as this settup creates a lot of scenarios where you're just kind of screwed, which is frustrating since you can't even give up half as easily now since you now have effectively have 3 health bars to burn through and no give up button anymore. my other...not sure what I want to call it... issue? is that its a bit weird how for a lot of the game, you're specifically attacking black people; they make up the majority of the goons and villains. which is kinda bad, but not quite as bad as it would be if the game were more serious with its themes, like, in most other games, I would not be cool with a story that's basically me helping the cops to beat up black folks, and whilst I'm not cool with it here either, it's a little less bad as black folks are set up here in much more likeable, non-serious contexts. to be clear, I like that there are folks besides white people in this game as outside of anime-ish games (which have their own stifling issues with diversity), most porn on steam trend towards being Painfully white, and at this point, I appreciate even the flimsy bits of diversity I see. it just feels not great to have to be constantly attacking black characters, especially after the first game where things were a bit more evenly mixed. honestly don't know how I feel about this personally, though I would like to hear the developer's feelings on the matter
It's a fun game for me. Nice artwork. I do however wish there're more fun scene and the bimbo mechanic to expand more though.
hehe kitty
