Such an awesome game! The controls are easy to pick up and feel great, similar to racing games with a grappling hook twist. The three levels are beautiful and fun to explore, with their mission's increasing difficulty challenging you in the best of ways
"CyberSeas" is a weird one, usually I see bad games more popular than they should be, here, this probably isn't quite as bad as most yet has been treated worse than an RPG Maker asset flip. Ah well. What do you do in the game? This is a "racing" game where you fly over somewhat low polyish cel-shaded ish environments as fast as you can in your flying boat thingy. I don't know what it's supposed to be. There's even a narrative. You can't imagine how many worse games than this I've seen on Steam. The graphics in this game are passable, but could be better. And while it's vital for any game to have impressive visuals (gaming is a visual medium, after all), there's more to a game than just the graphics. To be worth a gamers time, the game must match top tier visuals with top tier gameplay, and that's not happening here. Insultingly, the developer insists that you should play this with a console peasant children's toy gamepad instead of KB+M. Developers should try to be aware which platform they're designing games for. It's the responsibility of the developer to ensure the game runs well on the platform they're selling it on, with the primary peripherals that PC gamers use. Not every "free" game really is. There's often MTX, or content locked behind DLC, or donations being requested, or any other number of things that could mislead gamers, but in this case I'm glad to say this really does appear to be a fully free game. Nothing demonstrates a developers belief in themselves and their work than giving it away without any remuneration. This is a service to themselves, and the gaming industry, and should be applauded. Of course, just because something is free, doesn't necessarily mean it's valuable. Even though this is "free", it failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 2 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? This is a "maybe" experience... if you have a lot of free time on your hands and nothing else to do, why not? But for the purposes of a review, this isn't something I can say everyone must try. It's not quite there. Valve doesn't give us a "maybe" option in reviews, but if they did, that's what I'd choose for this.
The controls are great fun - responsive, lots of tricks, never got stuck - and that matters heaps for a game like this.
The character designs are neat, the music is nice to listen to, very chill and the best thing would be the grappling, the feeling of doing a good grapple is like nothing else. Give it a try, its fun and free :3
Amazing game that has great character design and art style. The different levels give a unique touch to the exploration and game play! Even though it was a bit challenging to get used to the movement at the start, the game feels very fluid and satisfying once you get the hang of it. Overall a massive thumbs up :)
The controls feel geat and you can definitely have some fun flinging yourself around with the harpoon. Decide for yourself.
