Mixed review? My ♥♥♥♥ was hard!
Bought it, it loads up, then doesn't respond at all to my Quest controllers. It's just a title screen as far as my set up is concerned. If you use Oculus Link to emulate a Rift, avoid this one.
Hard Beats I is my jam. Everything else is meh.

Played on HTC Vive Pro/Vive wands/RTX2060Super. Well, it's just an experience.. You have 3 settings to watch 3 anime girls dance. You can teleport around them, and that's about it. So would I recommend it at 7,39 euro? HELL NO, that's just a scam. Would I recommend it at 1,47 euro? nah, that should be the normal price, and on sale it should be like 0.99 cents. But I did like the girls, and I did like the music. If only they had a third option for recommending like 'Meh'.. But as I have to make a choice I choose in the favor of the developer.
Cute Girls VR is a niche virtual reality experience developed and published by Tomimar, built around the idea of placing players inside an intimate, stylized dance showcase populated by anime-inspired characters. Rather than positioning itself as a traditional game with objectives, progression systems, or structured challenges, it functions more as an interactive VR scene where presence and visual engagement take priority. From the moment you enter the virtual space, the emphasis is clear: this is about atmosphere, character proximity, and the novelty of standing face-to-face with animated performers inside a fully immersive headset environment. The core interaction loop is intentionally simple. Players enter various compact environments where animated characters perform dance routines to energetic music tracks. You can adjust playback speed, pause the animation, and reposition yourself within the VR space to observe the performance from different angles. The ability to manipulate the pacing gives a small but noticeable sense of control, allowing you to focus on specific movements or moments. However, beyond these adjustments, there are few mechanics that expand the experience further. There are no rhythm-based inputs, no scoring systems, and no meaningful branching interactions. The appeal comes primarily from observation and immersion rather than active gameplay. Visually, Cute Girls VR adopts a bright, stylized anime aesthetic. Character models are designed to be expressive and eye-catching, with exaggerated features and colorful outfits that align with the game’s playful tone. The environments themselves are relatively simple, often serving as decorative backdrops rather than interactive spaces. Lighting and stage design aim to enhance the sense of being at a private performance, though the overall graphical fidelity remains modest. Animations are functional and readable, but they do not reach the polish seen in higher-budget VR productions. This reflects the small-scale indie nature of the project, where concept and accessibility take precedence over technical sophistication. One of the defining aspects of the experience is its reliance on VR presence. Standing within arm’s reach of animated characters creates a different sensation than watching similar content on a flat screen. The sense of scale and proximity is what gives the experience its novelty. For players new to VR, this may initially feel immersive and intriguing. However, because the interaction depth is limited, the impact largely depends on how much value you place on simple environmental immersion. Those expecting interactive dialogue systems, branching outcomes, or physics-based interactions may find the experience comparatively shallow. In terms of replay value, the game’s longevity is constrained by its limited scope. Once you have viewed the available performances and experimented with the playback controls, there is little additional content to unlock or master. There are no evolving mechanics or progression layers that meaningfully alter subsequent sessions. As a result, Cute Girls VR works best as a short-form VR showcase—something to experience in brief sessions rather than an ongoing title to revisit repeatedly over weeks or months. Its entertainment value tends to peak early and then taper off once the novelty subsides. Audience reception is understandably divided. Players who approach it as a light, stylized VR vignette centered on character presentation may find it aligns with their expectations. Those searching for deeper interactivity, gameplay systems, or narrative content will likely feel underwhelmed. The title occupies a very specific corner of the VR ecosystem, appealing primarily to users interested in anime aesthetics and passive performance-based experiences. It does not attempt to compete with rhythm games, social VR platforms, or narrative adventures; instead, it remains firmly within its own narrow conceptual lane. Ultimately, Cute Girls VR is a small-scale, concept-driven VR project that prioritizes visual presence over mechanical complexity. It demonstrates how VR can amplify character proximity and stylized performance, but it stops short of building a layered interactive framework around that idea. Its strengths lie in its immediacy, simplicity, and distinct aesthetic focus, while its weaknesses stem from limited depth and replayability. For players who understand its scope and are specifically drawn to its premise, it can serve as a brief but visually engaging diversion within the broader landscape of VR content. Rating: 5/10
