After the factory, which was the town's main economic backbone, closed, more people left in search of job opportunities. Leaving a small number of people still living in town and turning the police into one sherif. But one strange evening something unthinkable happens and will change the outcome for our protagonist and this town.
Story - Content
Cursed Affection is an NSFW visual novel that is about a small, low-populated town that falls under the spell of an actual powerful witch. Putting up an invisible dome around the town, whoever tries to leave or enter will feel a massive headache and die if they go too far to the dome border. We follow our protagonist through this story, who is the town's sheriff after the police station staff got cut down. Who got a pregnant girlfriend, but in this story, you’ll meet a girl who seems enchanting, and after you start slipping around, you happen to romance more women in town and not only your girlfriend.
Game Information
The game/story is very long but interesting; after playing for around 2.8 hours, I’ve noticed the game jumps from episode 1 to episode 3. Never saw episode 2 being displayed during that time; either I must’ve been blind, or it could be some small error. This game contains a lot of content, lots of different choices and paths, and multiple endings. Depending on your choices, you can end paths with certain girls, you can proceed deeper with some of them, and some choices can get you killed. And I mean more than once; there are choices throughout the story that have the possibility to end you, but you just proceed again at your save file.
Visual & Audio

Visuals
Graphics/Details The graphics for the surrounding environment and inside buildings look very good, with added small details to give more life to each scene. Though I would have to mention the shading and light. In most scenes and intimate animations, everything is very bright; in some scenes, it looks better and gives the light an actual purpose with turned-on lights. For example, in the motel during chapter 10 with Allison, the light in the room looked amazing in the animation. Characters/Animations The characters look good, both in design and proportions, along with their clothes and their details. When it comes to intimate animations, they’re very smooth and appealing and quite difficult to spot when they go on repeat. I’ve only spotted a few collisions during these scenes, but they are no biggies; the scenes still look remarkable and pleasing. And the few non-NSFW animations look highly realistic, even when there are few. For example, in the beginning when walking up to the ruined church, the torches had their own realistic short animation of the flames waving. And then I assume AI character speaking animations, which move their face, eyes, mouth, and bit of their body, making it look more alive.
Audio
Sound Effects/Intimate Sounds It’s not often that visual novels have sound effects FOR EVERYTHING. Okay, not literally everything, but the game contains a lot of sound effects of good quality too, which I did not expect. Music The music isn’t that much to talk about; it's lovely music that changes throughout the playthrough and depends on scenery. It's calm and pleasing to the ears, even with its large selection of different songs.
Pros and Cons

Pros

Story
Gameplay Length
Visuals/Animations
Audio/Sound Effects
Price
Selection of Choices
Choices Can Kill You
AI speaking animation
Shading & Light

Cons

Minor Collisions
Shading & Light

My Final Little Thoughts
Even after almost 6 hours it's still going and just reaching chapter 10, and that is just halfway through the game. My honest opinion is that the game deserves to cost more, because this game is made so when the first main story ends, it continues with a new story from the point of the end of the last story. I know, it sounds confusing when saying it out loud, but you’ll understand when playing. At least in my opinion it keeps the tension and interest by having more stories instead of just one long one. Here are the pros & cons of the first two hours of this AVN in my opinion. Pros: 1. The graphics are not bad. Cons: 1. After two hours, I just had no more interest in going on after dying from a choice to investigate a person on the side of the road as a law inforcement officer. 2. The story just did not interest me or draw me in after a point. 3. They keep calling the main character a marshal (an officer who actively searches for individuals with warrents), but he is not a marshal, but a sheriff of a small town, even his shirt says sheriff, but the car says police (get it right). 4. There are some grammar errors. If you are looking for good AVNs on Steam, I recomend: Acting Lessons, Depraved Awakenings, Desert Stalker, Leap of Faith, Monster College, & Sisterly Lust.

9,75€ ? Prix honnête malgré tout. 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Rapport qualité/prix 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Fidèle aux images de vente 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Expérience vidéoludique 🔴🔴🔴🔴⚪️ Durée de jeu 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Gameplay 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Captures d'écran prises 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Images, esthétique 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Tonalité, colorimétrie 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Modèles féminins 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Têtes, visages 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Expressions, attitudes 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Vêtements, tenues 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Lingerie, bijoux 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Talons hauts, bottines 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Qualité du contenu +18 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Quantité du contenu +18 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Fluides, sécrétions 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Animations, transitions 🔴🔴🔴⚪️⚪️ Histoire, récits 🔴🔴⚪️⚪️⚪️ Choix narratifs Est-ce que je recommande Cursed Affection ? Even though this just came out, it looks like it was made in the 90s: with the most basic programming. Characters aren't ugly, but most of the time they look like cheap claymation CGI. The MC is stupid and naive. Has no smarts what-so-ever. The story is full of spelling and grammar mistakes. No way they used a proofreader. And if they did, the F'er doesn't know how to speak and/or spell english at all. No recommendation from me. Save your $ and find something else. You'll only be disappointed in this steaming pile of dog sh_t.
Tl;dr: Not as polished as some other games but decent overall. Pros: + Women were attractive + Story was interesting + Likeable characters + Some choices to make + You can turn off the AI dialogue animation + Most of the animations are serviceable + Worked on steam deck Cons: - Renders could have been better - The AI animations aren't great - I didn't like how some of the choices were presented (more info in closing thoughts) - Some of the music didn't match the scene - Some choices lead to a game over - The ending was kind of a letdown Closing Thoughts: I thought the game was good overall despite having some rough edges. Regarding some of the choices:
I didn't like that you have a pregnant girlfriend but the game throws all these women at you. I figured I would try to not be a scumbag and see what happens but then toward the end the game it's like "sure you can have a harem." I would have played totally different if I had known that earlier. The game would have been much better if you were just single at the start.
I think there was a missed opportunity to expand on the world/happenings instead of the
time loop cop out.
I'd also like to see improvements in the renders regarding lighting/atmosphere/posing. Still enjoyed it and would play another game by this dev.
Compelling story, beautiful graphics and video. Many branching story lines and surprises depending on choices. Bonus story for specific completion events and a special story if you unlock all the bonus stories. Players have the option to skip over sections they already played when exploring a different path. While I did get the steam key for free, I already subscribed to this game on Patreon, but agreed to test and review the Steam version because I already enjoyed the product.
A weird combination this one. The writing is not horrible, but it's... unbelievable. It feels off. The same goes for the graphics. A lot of static shots with occasional animations that just don't fit. The looks of the various places don't fit. The looks of the models don't fit. It is painfully obvious these are stock assets jumbled together with no sense of cohesion or purpose. I have no desire to waste more time on this, and neither should you.
pretty cool story, i liked it, only a few illogical conversations in the game, maybe 3 max (it didnt stick out as a annoying more silly... since other things seemed more important to me, but i dont think it is good as a Nap-game, this is for the mystery horror fans who like super natural stuff. & i couldnt figure out how to unlock Hannah's path, i probably needed to reject Allison or / and Christine, and maybe even Bonnie too, all 3 or 2 of those gals to get some Hannah & Gwen storyline... sadly, it's all... a mystery, pun intended xD i spotted like 3 or 4 serious logical flaws in the game, (example) like the gun store he passed, later on the MC forgets to just go back there to pick up some guns. (he's all like, im outta guns!... i also spotted like 16 spelling errors but they were no bother) anyways, i love it but im not unlocking all routes without some support, lol. like a cheat-mode. so Gwen and Hannh will have to stay right where they are... until this game gets a cool DLC and i'll probably check that out, it's a good Harem story, nothing dramatic. 7.8 outta 10.! (as a paranoid person, now i need to look behind me a bit, from time to time).
Interesting story. Some sex scenes not attainable with first run through the game. I expect if I chose a different path at the beginning, I will get to the other sex scenes. Some words used in place of other words in the dialog, but I will eventually let the developer know about them.
