I have only played like the first level so far and this is so hella fun. I really love this game concept and the fact that this is a game where it feels like beeing a stereotypical hacker even tho this isn´t remotely true.
We're In Been waiting for this one. The improvements from the demo/beta feel great, though I agree with others that being able to pause or save a run would be appreciated because hoooo boy does this come after your carpal tunnel.
While I do recommend this game. I do give a warning to others. If you don't use proper keyboard hand placement you may injure yourself. Like I did . My left wrist is still in pain as of writing this lol. Good thing I'm right handed lol. If your wrist starts to hurt. Either quit and take a break or put it on pause and come back to it.
As of right now I'm going to retract my previous review to make a better one
This is literally a rhythm game disguised as a hacker roguelite, the music comes from the symphony of my mechanical keyboard clacking away as I smash my fingers into it at random while occasionally typing out a keyword that gives me a momentary boost in hacking power. My fingers hurt, and I constantly live in fear that I'm gonna wreck my keyboard, but the game play is literally what it looks like on the tin. You mash the ♥♥♥♥ out of your keyboard to deal damage to enemies like one of those holly wood movie hackers while typing out the beginnings of a keyword to autocomplete with spacebar and then you push enter and you get a special effect from the keyword you typed. For example, VPN delays the attack timers on all the enemies on screen. You've also got keywords that deal more damage, spawn allies, prevent YOU from taking damage if timed right, etc. The game isn't just "7k osu!mania but your whole keyboard is the controller" no, but it sure looks like it don't it. The game is short but, like, it's $5, I've had chicken sandwiches more expensive than this last me less time.
Been waiting what feels like years with this on my wishlist, and finally it has released. Great fun game! Loving it so far, few levels into it and it feels like there's so much going on but its not too crazy yet like the videos, it has fun mini games as well to change it up and keep from getting stale.
If they made a cheesy game out of the hackertyper website. Ngl, it's more fun than I thought it would be.
A very entertaining game to make the time pass, with an original idea that you dont see that much around here totally worth the 55 mxn i spent on it
besides the fishing minigame i'm really bad at this, 10 stars
Very fun. Hope new content and mechanics are coming soon.
