Cry of Fear is a psychological single-player and co-op horror game set in a deserted town filled with horrific creatures and nightmarish delusions. You play as a young man desperately searching for answers in the cold Scandinavian night, finding his way through the city as he slowly descends into madness.

The game is free. The only problem of the game is it's designed for older hardware so it's a bit unstable playing it for a prolonged time though it's mostly fixed by "Morphine Launcher" and few level designs, especially the chapter 1 maps. Story wise, this kind of story isn't really present on any games I have tried (Except Afraid of Monsters, which is the developed by the same team) and I wish i could play this for the first time again. For combat, it's much different from Half Life and it features a dodge mechanic and is quite unique. My tip. Go in blind and look out for light sources just shining into random things such as TVs. The game is pretty dark which helps with the atmosphere and constantly fills you with dread so in your first playthrough I highly recommend you to not increase the brightness.
I could not open the computer for the door password AT THE FIRST LOCATION. Still, this game is a banger
