This game is bad. Like really, really bad. I'm usually forgiving of overly simplistic or minimalist game design as I sometimes just crave playing an "arcadey" game, but this is on another level of basic. The enemies are bland/repetitive, mechanics are virtually non-existent unless you count an annoyingly limiting ammo system that curbs your already incredibly restrictive player engagement options, and the pace of the map progression is so slow it's offensive. Speaking of progression, there's absolutely none of that in this game. Forget about any kind of meta progression, there isn't even progression level to level. Going into the menu lets you adjust sound and music- that's it. The game has controller support but the right stick seems to very poorly (and slowly) emulate a mouse. This legit feels like some dude grabbed some premade assets from a game making editor and strung some things together within an hour or two. The most enjoyable part of the game was the funny joke on the games store page that lists "dynamic gameplay" as a bullet point. Hilarious. It's quite telling when I have an 18 year old steam account with over 1,000 games (some of which are below average to arguably even poor), yet this is the first time I've ever felt compelled to write a negative review of a game. It's really that awful. Avoid at all costs.
This is not a game, it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ demo flash game that you played for five minutes in 2002.
I swear there are a dozen of these uninspired, half-baked td games on steam. They have identical title menus with the same options and all. Even the music and sound effects are the same as those other games. They're all the same bland and generic garbage, given some mechanical differences. This game? Well it's extremely repetitive, barely has any depth and gives you no instructions. Sometimes the tower displayed on a build tile won't even be the same when you build it! It's unpolished and bland as hell. btw if you were wondering about those others games I was talking about, they're called Obelisk Tower Defense and Stonedef.
Really not a bad game for this price at a discount! It's a pleasure to shoot guns! But the turrets are almost useless and the enemies are monotonous. Other than that, it's good.
game is actually somewhat decent, just not worth the money
In Videoform: Hier ein Video mit unbearbeitetem Gameplay: https://youtu.be/dMWeCRj78Ig In Textform: Crossroads of Life ist ein interessanter Mix aus Tower Defense und Top-Down Shooter. Gegner umblasen, Geld einsammeln, Türme bauen and repeat.
Crossroads to Life presents a solid concept of surviving and battling monsters, with decent graphics to set the mood. However, the game falls short due to one major issue: boredom. The gameplay quickly becomes repetitive, with players doing the same tasks in every level, leading to a sense of monotony. Despite a promising concept and acceptable visuals, the lack of variety in gameplay significantly hampers the overall experience. It would have benefited from introducing more game mechanics or narrative elements to maintain player interest. In the end, Crossroads to Life leaves a sense of disappointment due to its repetitive nature, despite its initial potential.
