https://youtu.be/ZTtIruBgklk Disclaimer: I was paid to make a first impressions video on this game. This is a fun adventure with a creative take on the side view battle system. Watch my first impressions video for more details if you're thinking about picking up this cool title.
First of all, I would like to say that I am proud to say that this game got its start in one of the greatest (IMHO) online RPGMaker communities in existence: RMN . I used to be very active a few years ago, and the people there have helped me move forward in my life during some tough times. There are MANY very good free games over there, a few of which led to the development of this one. Please check them out! Now, onto the review! As you could probably guess by the blurb above, I really enjoy RPGMaker games, even the ones that tend to feel a bit samey. Although this one is definitely a cut above, it still falls into that category a little bit. Many of the sprites are stock with RPGMaker VX (or VX Ace; I'm a bit out of touch with the community...), and a lot of the tiling assets are as well. But, aside from that, there has been a lot of custom work done to make this game a gem! The music is great, if only a tiny bit repetitive. The in battle animations are amazing and add a lot of style to the game. And the custom cut scenes add a feeling of depth to the game that not many RPGM games seem to offer. The battle system is a bit tough to get into at first, but it flows very well once you get much later into the game. There isn't a lot of variety in terms of skills, but there is a good reason for that. As is, the battle system is fairly complicated, and I couldn't even imagine what went into this from a development perspective to make it work as well as it does. Adding one minor layer of complexity probably adds quite a few hours of coding and testing just to make it work. Either way, it is super fun to use and far better than a simple "choose skill, choose target, wait... rinse, repeat" battle system that is in almost every RPGM game these days. While on the topic of combat, one of the nice things is most battles are avoidable. Not only are they avoidable, you can get "quick kills" if you are patient. If you manage to get a quick kill, you still gaining EXP and money. This takes out a LOT of the tediousness of grinding/slogging through long dungeons. My only minor complaint is, in order to get a quick kill, you need to be behind the enemy sprite, and there are a few enemies that are a bit difficult to tell which direction they are facing. With some practice, I figured them all out, but it's not always intuitive. The story seemed interesting, but I really feel like I was missing some backstory... It feels like the developer assumes you know most of what happened prior to the events of the game, which can turn some people off. I do know that there are at least 2 other games in the same vein as this one (one of which I'm pretty sure is available on steam, the other on RMN, both free, I think...), so it is possible to get the backstory if you really want to. Even without it though, there is enough there to hold well enough on its own. It did seem to drag on near the end, although I imagine that might be different depending on your choices throughout the story. There are plenty of achievements, which I am sure I will bang my head against a wall to get in the coming weeks and months (not a lot of free time...), most of which are free just by playing the game. I'm hoping there will be a way to at least see what they are at some point so they become easier to find. A few minor nit-picks that I noticed through my play-through: there seems to be some weird jittering of map tiles, almost like they are tearing away from one another by a pixel or two. It only happens every so often, and I don't think it's intentional. It does give the game an oddly eerie feeling from time to time, though. There are also a few bugs during battle that I noticed. For instance, if you are choosing attacks very quickly, there is a chance that your character will not return to their original position. I haven't noticed it having any effect other than visual ones, so not a big deal. Overall, I really enjoyed my first play-through, and I look forward to my next one soon! If you are a fan of (relatively) short RPGs, definitely consider buying this game!

Great experience, I am actually wondering why are there so few reviews of this RPG game, the story is great and the gameplay is quite fun. I am often seeing playthroughs of games which have multiple endings because I am way too lazy to play all of them, the thing is that this game has barely any footage on other platforms so how all the endings go kill me with curiosity. I wish there was more playthroughs and materials in to read about this great game in the internet!

Awesome game!!!! Absolutely loved the disco level despite it being a bit lengthy, there's a very cool easter egg if you beat the dancing mini game 100 times!!!
Un peu jeu RPG-maker que je suis content d'avoir fini pour ne plus avoir à y jouer, plusieurs fins possibles mais la flemme
I played this game really enjoyed it, not finished yet but i am probably almost finished, it's an incredible game. I recommend to play crimson light first then play this. This game has custom graphics, unique battle system, amazing story. I did live stream of it here is the first part: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/349130042
