My only problem with the game is that it was free because it meant i couldn't refund it
This game has a good story framed to it. Or, the idea of what it is about and why things are happening is great. But the actual story pace, and forced down time going on, seems to keep the player trying to figure out why we keep dying within a few minutes of entering the field. It is clear the game has severe balance issues, so this could be why it is so hard to stay alive. I think the developer needs to be reminded, that in 2026, players are a lot different than they used to be. Sometimes we see a game that is highly anticipated for release, and it is brought to us from an award winning dev/publisher. (I almost fell asleep playing Final Fantasy 16) So, that type of developer has built everything in their game around a story. There are stellar graphics and cut scenes, that go along with the story, therefore it is accepted. Otherwise, it will take someone as patient as a saint to accept all the down time and whatnot, that we see in an Indie game like Crimson Loop. The first thing that hits a player hard here, is the fact you cant skip all the painfully slow speech. The movement or walking speed of the main character is even more painful. I want to move fast from area to area, and skip all speech if I so choose. When the player earns the fast travel portal, yes you have to earn it......there is indeed a second or two cut off from what a player experienced before the portal. But it is still not nearly enough to make me want to keep playing. After I earn the fast travel portal, I would prefer to not have to wait for a screen to come up, that forces me to choose a hero I want. But, since you cant choose a hero at all...there is only one choice...a warrior who really fails...its just annoying. It takes a very long time to earn just about anything. There is a hooded reaper guy in the starting area, who is like a spirit guide. The dude throws some serious shade at the player the entire time, and he loves being vague about everything. He admits over and over, that he is the sole keeper of some really important information that he refuses to release. I say there needs to be a way to force him to release those hidden files. The answers are in those files, with names, information, and specific directions on how to earn more heroes. Information on how to speed up everything in general, and how to obtain better weapons and skills. So I would say give it a try if you have a lot of time and patience. But I also highly suggest the developer allow us to cut out every interaction, story time, and cut scene, if we so choose. The biggest issue for me though, is the walking speed. It needs to be raised GREATLY. Like seriously...press the fast forward button Mr. Developer. I had to stop playing due to the fact I have a life to live and demo-ing this game was like pulling teeth in some ways. With these things fixed, it could be something great. I do have to admit, despite the pace of things...I honestly fell in love with the sus reaper who talks to the hero. He has a creepy way of opening his robe and offering you his wares. Which I do happily, no questions asked. I just hope this reaper-spirit-guide entity, will be kind enough to offer me a mage or ranged hero soon. There is plenty of room in his robe of wares, to hide more heroes....trust me. I also wanted to add that the developer needs to start responding to players about bugs or issues in the forum so that he can keep people interested, and later get sales on his game. My review would have been positive if there werent so many obvious things wrong with Crimson Loop. The fact that players are now being ignored by the developer, was kind of the last thing that made me comfortable with leaving this review.

game is meh i keep running into a glitch/bug where every time I die the game screen goes all blue and I have to close it, so at the moment the game is unplayable.
Honestly, it's crap so far, even though it has potential. I did 5 or 6 runs, all of which screamed "this dev has no idea what pacing is". I'm attacking once every 3 or 4 seconds, and if I maybe kill the 1-hit creatures (not always!), then they very infrequently drop an xp orb, which I can get by wading deep into a crowd of monsters that each hits multiple times per second, and I watch my health drain away like I'm playing Gauntlet. Then I can go back out and I was able to speak once to the shopkeeper, but I hit "left" looking for the other set of upgrades, and that was apparently "exit" and he'll never speak to me again, even after another run. No explanations, just... you only get to shop once, ever. If I could somehow bolster my starting stats, I might want to keep playing, but right now I don't. The idea is fine, I'm always down for another vampire survivors clone, but the implementation is just terrible, and it doesn't matter how good your later game is if players don't stick around to find out.
This is misandry generator because if you've never known what it's like to hate the living ♥♥♥♥ out of a man for being sad and slow and weak no matter how much you invest into him then now you will.
Халтурная игра.
You put up with some ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ whisperer farting in your ear for about 5 minutes. All this story ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ is so damn slow and you can't skip it, and all just to pick one character who's basically a copy of one from Vampire Survivors. And even the skills to choose from are ripped off, with some of their icons made by AI. I absolutely do not recommend this trash.
crimson loop my beloved + interesting story + fun gameplay and loop, always wanna do one more run + nice music, sfx and art + surprising amounts of content + numbers go up + nathan - progress can be a bit slow in the beginning (but speeds up you get going and unlock more stuff)
