Apart from the shocking graphic glitches this game is good. Enjoy proper changes or just one ball at a time. If you love cricket this is fun.
Utterly cheating crap.....yr oponent will cheat and will do things that u cant do...just 1 ex...when u get a wicket chance the very next ball the batsman will hit a 4...this is guaranteed for 98% of the time....u aint got reviews..how u can have a cricket game without player reviews ....is just lazy...the player form dont mean nothing at all....u have 5 star batting form u can still get out for 0....the whole game needs to be revamped and start from scratch..cos it is most broken....and not fun to play...the developers are lazy and they bring it out every year with hardly no improvement that it so needs...they make EA look good!
I bought the very first edition of this game back in the late 90s and loved it. But the lack of development in the 25 years since is astounding. I still buy it every few years hoping for big improvements - and whilst the match engine may be better 'under the hood' - most things are still their same basic self and it is immensely disappointing. When bowling you still only have three options for length and three options for line - that hasn't changed since 98. There are still no attributes for players, no detail on player potential, only a very basic sense that training may be working (so and so has improved his keeping is about it). The animations on match highlights are still rudimentary - there's the addition of a reverse sweep this year but it still looks so dated. There's no sense of man management in the team - negotiations are simple and then that's it. No interaction with your players at all. There are so many basic frustrations too. You can't sort any columns on squad or record pages - ie sort by average, runs, wickets etc. Surely this would be very easy to put into the game. Everything seems to require one more click than it should. The depth of stats and players has improved no doubt. And you can now look at a players record by team - but there's no 'season by season' at a glace list of how a player has performed. No simple to way to guage how he has improved or otherwise. Overall another very disappointing game and a real lack of effort in developing it that goes back years. All from a very promising start a quarter of a century ago. If you've bought this game before, don't bother again. Cricket deserves better.
Run twice, both times it crashed during the first match played
Cricket Captain 2022 has a lot of great aspects to it. The one simple reason why this game wont go from a good game to a great game is that players and coaches have no overall attributes, you can only tell if players are good based on form and their averages. For example if I am versing a team that bowls weak to cover drives I want to be able to go and see that one of my players has better skill at cover drives than someone else in my team. If I had a player that was an 81 overall batsman in the team but had 76 cover drive, I want to be able to see that a player who might be an 79 overall could come in and do a job because I can see that they have 84 cover drive in their attributes. The form system on its own does not logically work. For example Pat Cummins could be a 85 overall and myself could be a 60 overall, at his worse form he still would be better than me as a bowler even if I was in the form of my life. You have to have a mix of the two aspects to the game. Overall the game is a 2.9/5 but if they just added overalls to the game to make the game have a less broad experience it would easily jump up anywhere between 3.6 and a 4 out of 5.
The least you could do after at least 5 iterations is to add some field settings!! basic stuff seen in any cricket game, some powerplay fields, defensive, attacking and balanced. The batting aggression is useless as always...batting is so random.
nice game but why is there no DRS nd the graphics are still the same from previous version the commentary is still the same and i wish you guys could add more other extra features into the game and try and make the game play a bit more realistic why is thre no editor i been asking for that for 3 years already
