Covet Fashion: Dress Up Game

Used to be amazing I’ve played Covet Fashion for years and truly loved it. What made this game special was the variety of real designers and the ability to create unique, high-fashion looks. Styling felt creative and exciting. Recently, though, almost everything has become “Covet Basics,” and it’s really disappointing. The clothing feels repetitive and uninspired, often the same outfit in different colors. We’ve lost all of the designer variety that made the game feel elevated and fashion-forward. The creativity aspect just isn’t the same anymore. On top of that, challenges seem recycled, and clothing prices keep increasing while the quality and uniqueness feel like they’re decreasing. It’s frustrating to spend more in game currency for pieces that don’t feel special. I still want to love this game, and I hope the developers consider bringing back the designer collaborations, more variety, and more originality. Covet used to stand out in the fashion game space, I’d love to see it return to that.

Not fun anymore I used to love this game, but it changed developers, and the quality has decreased drastically. Artwork was replaced by AI, partnerships with clothing designers were cancelled, and customer service has disappeared.

Hope this changes I have noticed recently that Covet is making all the fashion which at first I thought was ok as they always have there covet collection which help our fantasy inspired challenges but I am really starting to miss all the amazing designers that I loved to find on covet exclusive clothing and accessories that I would have as my little secret and buy gifts for my self and others so I really hope it goes back to this because this was the reason I was so addicted to covet and couldn’t wait to see new seasons.

AI Slop Let me start out by saying that this used to be my favorite game. I started playing in the summer of 2017 when I was in college, and I have played it nearly every single day for the past 8.5 years. No other game or app has ever had so much longevity and been so consistently fun/rewarding to play for me. But I suppose all good things must come to an end. The game has become almost unplayable after the latest series of updates, where basically all real-world designs/designers were removed from the game and the clothing options reduced to a fraction of what was once available, leaving nothing but “Covet Basics” clothes, i.e. AI-generated monstrosities. For me, a huge part of the fun of the game was getting to see and play with real-life designer clothes and always feel like I was keeping up with fashion trends in real life because of how often I interacted with them in the game. That element has been entirely removed. Having so many real-life designs to use in the challenges also made them more challenging and competitive because you were able to be so much more creative with your outfits, instead of being spoon fed a limited number of clothing options that very clearly try to steer you in a certain direction for a style challenge. I was fine with the occasional release of “Covet Collection” pieces that were made for a specific challenge because they were relatively infrequent (which actually made them enjoyable!) and you could also usually opt to create a design with more traditional clothing choices instead of buying the Covet Collection ensemble. Now everything is Covet “designed” whether it’s a themed piece or not, and the overall look and quality of everything is incredibly cheap. It feels insulting. I feel sad that a game that has seen me through my college years, my marriage, the start of my professional career, pregnancy, and the birth of my first child has become so unbearable to play, and that I am going to stop playing it if the course is not corrected soon. What a sad way to end an almost nine-year streak.

Eliminated brand partnerships I previously gave this 4 or 5 stars, but in the past year, they decided to terminate all their brand partnerships. There’s now no new real clothes and they push you to use low-effort AI clothes for all the challenges. The point of the game was to style with clothes from real designers. Without that, it’s a pointless app. I’d been playing regularly for years so it’s been really disappointing to see happen. I deleted the app around a month ago.

DO NOT WASTE UR TIME! I have been playing Covet for a few years now. And I’m not sure if it was sold to the highest bidder or what but it has gone to complete and utter HE😡😡. If it’s not constant game issues (logging in, rewards missing, the list goes on and on)! Now after two weeks; TWO FREAKING WEEKS, my closet value has gone from OVER 400,000 to 55,000 and it’s been sitting at 55,000 for 2 WEEKS! I’ve reached out to Customer Support with NO SUPPORT reaching back out to me. It’s disgusting how EA, Covet Fashion WHOEVER TREATS THEIR PLAYERS! I wouldn’t be surprised if a small claims lawsuit would be in your near future! Signed an Anger Player!!

Awful money grab I played this game years ago and it just used to be a chill fashion game. Now it’s just a money grab. You have to buy all these silly over the top prop packs to get high enough votes to win just the pretty lame 4.0 prizes. If you want to score any higher, you will have to buy prop packs to get the votes that win the better prizes. Props ruined a good game and I am definitely going to delete it again. Also the game does not reward nearly enough money or diamonds to even really complete a look or enter multiple challenges. The cost of every item is astronomical. Thinking of borrowing? You can only borrow one item and it takes several hours before you can borrow again. Garbage. And the fact that the game is silent is weird. Add ambient music and sound effects to engage players better.

Sad Been playing since 2016, loved the real brands. EXTREMELY disappointed in the ai slop garbage this game has become, now sadly leaving after 10 years of investment.

So buggy and expensive now. I’ve had this app for a decade and used to love it. However, lately there have been so many challenges that I cannot enter, even though I’ve met the requirements. In addition to that, it’s become very expensive to enter challenges. A single item will cost over 1K at least. They are also moving away from true fashion brands and the majority of challenges require purchasing their cover brand items and there are so many, it’s overwhelming and extremely expensive.
