Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's okay, but it would be better if the hero had sex with the alien

Space war games are a classic genre, and Cosmic Mirage is a worthy new addition to your game library
Cosmic Mirage is a retro-inspired horizontal shoot-’em-up that confidently embraces the fundamentals of classic arcade design while layering in just enough modern structure to give its action a sense of forward momentum. Developed and published by HugePixel, the game casts the player as a lone space pilot tasked with liberating planets that have fallen into a warped, hostile state, turned into dangerous illusions by an encroaching cosmic threat. The premise is straightforward, but it functions effectively as a narrative backbone, framing each mission as another step in reclaiming a fractured galaxy and giving purpose to the relentless stream of enemy encounters. At its core, Cosmic Mirage is built around fast, responsive shooting mechanics that prioritize clarity and immediacy. Movement feels tight and precise, allowing players to weave between incoming projectiles and enemy formations with confidence, while firing mechanics remain satisfyingly punchy throughout. The side-scrolling structure stays true to genre traditions, with enemies entering the screen in carefully choreographed patterns that test both reflexes and situational awareness. Rather than overwhelming the player with excessive visual noise, the game maintains a readable battlefield, ensuring that success is determined by skillful positioning and timing rather than memorization alone. Boss encounters punctuate each stage with more elaborate attack patterns, serving as memorable difficulty spikes that demand attention and adaptability. Progression plays an important role in keeping the experience engaging over time. As players advance, they unlock upgrades and enhancements that meaningfully alter how their ship performs in combat. These improvements are not merely incremental stat boosts but tools that subtly reshape playstyle, encouraging experimentation and replay. Returning to earlier stages with a more capable ship creates a tangible sense of growth, reinforcing the feeling that each completed run contributes to long-term mastery rather than existing in isolation. This light progression system adds welcome depth without detracting from the game’s arcade roots, striking a balance between old-school immediacy and modern expectations. Visually, Cosmic Mirage leans heavily into pixel art aesthetics that evoke classic space shooters while still presenting a distinct identity of its own. The planetary backdrops, enemy designs, and effects are simple but purposeful, conveying a sense of alien danger without cluttering the screen. Each environment feels thematically cohesive, helping differentiate stages even when the core mechanics remain consistent. The understated presentation works in the game’s favor, keeping the focus on gameplay while still offering enough variety to prevent visual fatigue during longer sessions. Audio design complements the on-screen action effectively, with energetic sound effects that reinforce the impact of weapons and enemy destruction. The soundtrack supports the high-tempo gameplay with suitably atmospheric and driving compositions, enhancing the sensation of constant forward motion. While not overly elaborate, the audio package contributes to the overall immersion and reinforces the game’s retro sensibilities, making it feel like a modern homage rather than a simple imitation. Cosmic Mirage does show the limitations typical of smaller indie productions. Its scope is deliberately compact, and players seeking a sprawling narrative or extensive mechanical complexity may find the experience relatively brief. Repetition can set in for those unaccustomed to the shoot-’em-up genre’s cyclical structure, as the game relies heavily on refining execution rather than introducing radically new mechanics in later stages. However, for fans of classic arcade shooters, this focus on refinement is more a strength than a weakness, emphasizing skill development and replayability over sheer content volume. Overall, Cosmic Mirage stands as a focused and confident entry in the indie shoot-’em-up space. It delivers tight controls, satisfying combat, and a steady sense of progression wrapped in a clean retro presentation. While it may not redefine the genre, it succeeds by understanding what makes classic space shooters compelling and presenting those elements in a polished, accessible form. For players who appreciate fast-paced action, deliberate design, and the timeless appeal of side-scrolling space combat, Cosmic Mirage offers a rewarding and well-crafted experience that respects its influences while standing comfortably on its own. Rating: 6/10
I liked the color scheme of the game. Quite a simple arcade game for a nice price. Basically a pretty cool space shooter. This is the best time to kill.
A non-standard approach to long-established norms in the genre, and that's good. The game is fun to play, and that's the main thing.
