About
Step into a realistic VR kitchen filled with every tool, appliance, and any ingredient you could imagine. From griddles and gas burners to knives, blenders, and blowtorches — it’s all here, waiting for you to experiment.
Every ingredient responds to your actions: slice potatoes, flip steaks, or simmer soups with authentic physics and haptic feedback. Feel the resistance of the knife as you cut, and watch food change in temperature, texture, and appearance in real time.
Build your career from rookie to world-class chef in Career Mode, or let your imagination run wild in Sandbox Mode where the only limit is your creativity (or your tolerance for kitchen fires).

Line up cutting boards like dominoes.
Set the kitchen ablaze and save it with a fire extinguisher.
Test the limits of VR physics with explosive results.

Why This Edition Stands Out
Cooking Simulator VR: Enhanced Edition is not only an upgrade. It’s a recreating of what made the original so popular:
Sharper mechanics for precision cooking.
Deeper immersion through tactile haptics and refined controls.
More freedom to experiment, learn, and play your way.
A living kitchen that feels dynamic and reactive.
The kitchen is open.
Will you cook with mastery, or embrace the madness?

Just a sad experience in general, extremally buggy, game constantly lags and throws you out into the loading screen. Wish it worked better, wouldve been super fun.
This game has been my goto VR game a year ago, but now something has changed, it started stuttering and lagging like crazy. I can’t recommend this game anymore for this exact reason
i wonder what this game would be like with co-op
TLDR; Enjoy the desktop version. Don't suffer through this. VR is not enjoyable. The game content is phenomenal. No complaints with it. very worth the investment. You will even learn a thing or two about cooking. No "enhancements" noticeable. Physics are frustratingly buggy. A little janky physics can add some funny gameplay but these are just frustrating. I play on a Quest3 with cable link. You will read the word yeet a lot in this review. Brace yourself. The most noticeable issue I immediately ran into is that the scale of the game is slightly big. You don't notice until you realise you can't reach the the full depth of the counters with your arms' length. Your invisible body hitbox blocks you from getting closer unless you physically move forward which means having to constantly lean forward when playing seated. When you snap turn, commonly the stuff in the plate you are holding do not snap turn with you and stay where they were in the air and fall to the ground, rendering snap turns useless. But then, physically turning will always spill the liquids from containers no matter how slow you turn or how much liquid is in it. The first soup recipe in the tutorial was not enjoyable. I would loose 100-150ml of liquid going from the kitchen counter to the delivery area. In the end I had to carry everything and prepare the bowl at the delivery area... The rotation of certain highly used tools like the spatula and knife don't match real-life posture and require an uncomfortable twist of the wrist to operate correctly. This with the Quest3 controllers. I haven't found any options to calibrate the controller rotations. Comment if you know how... Plates will break randomly. This should be a fun part of the game but It's frustrating to the point you have to disable the feature. Throwing a tomato (or anything) onto a plate will break the plate 70% of the time and possibly yeet the tomato. Placing a parsley leaf on another object that is on a plate you are holding, will most likely break the plate. All plating needs to be done with the plate on a counter, preferably the delivery area to avoid possible yeets between the counter and delivery. "on the go" plating is a high risk gamble. You will grab a plate or cutting board instead of what is on it 90% of the time. Which causes it to yeet whatever was on it to oblivion: -Cut lemon on board -Attempt to grab the lemon slice -Grab the board instead and yeet the slices to the other side of the room -Proceed to grab a new lemon to cut because it takes less time than trying to find and collect the yeeted slices. when grabbing, the objects "travel" to your hand at high speed and interact with other objects on the way. Anything in the way of the travel will be launched to space. if you grab salt that is next to a plate, the plate is going to 100% break or throw itself to other side of the kitchen and then break. This forces you to place thing apart and not have them at arms reach. Alarm clock next to spatula at the stove? forget it. One of the two is going to eventually yeet the other. And i'm tired of writing the rest. I think the above describes the experience quite adequately. Cheers!
