If you want a supernatural atmospheric game, this is it. If you want a good combat game, this is not it. Control is impressive on a technical level. When the game puts you in a distinct area or with a puzzle, the game is at its best with awesome visuals and audio. However, there is too much repetition. Offices are the same everywhere. Combat can be boiled down to use 1 overpowered ability and your gun in one mode. Most of the game loop is running around a new area, fighting the same spawned in enemies, picking up some lore items, and then trying to find the next new area without getting lost. For all the outstanding lore in items, the overall story is fairly simplistic. The base game without DLC is also short. The game is more about the experience rather than the gameplay itself. Play the game for the designed set pieces, not for the monotonous combat.
