Weird game but it's good
Might sound weird, but this game is the reason for so many great things in my life. It made me fall in love with the weird and surreal. I recommend taking your time and really take in the lore and secrets it upholds.

Visuals and cinematography are exceptional and the combat is also fun, despite getting a bit repetitive towards the end due to a lack of enemy variety. The story starts off very intriguing and mysterious, but it doesn't keep that momentum. The more I played, the less I cared about it. I like mysteries and vagueness in games, but there is a point where it becomes too much and feels like it's too far up its own ass, and I feel like Control (and Remedy in general) crosses that barrier every time. The ending was also not satisfying to me. It felt like a letdown, and I expected much bigger reveals considering the buildup. Luckily, the game is carried by its visuals and atmosphere. The Maze level in particular is one of the most unique and visually stunning segments I've played in a long time. 7.7/10
Control is such a weird game, and that's probably what I liked the most about it. I didn't really know what to expect going into it, but the atmosphere immediately caught me. The whole Federal Bureau of Control building is bizarre, mysterious and constantly makes you wonder what the hell is actually happening. The story is weird as well, sometimes confusing, but in a way that made me want to keep playing just to understand more. The gameplay is honestly great. The combination of shooting, telekinesis and all the powers makes Jesse feel ridiculously powerful, especially once you unlock more abilities. Throwing random objects at enemies, launching them across rooms and combining that with your weapons never really gets old. I also really liked the way the game tells its story. There's a lot of information hidden in documents, recordings and random things you find around the building, so if you're the type of person who likes reading and trying to understand the lore, there's a lot here. The only thing I sometimes struggled with was the map and knowing where the hell I was supposed to go. The Oldest House can be pretty confusing, but at the same time, I think that adds to the feeling of being lost inside this completely insane place. Overall, Control feels like one of those games where Ubisoft, EA or any other big studio could have made something extremely generic, but Remedy just decided to make something completely ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ weird instead. And honestly, I'm glad they did.
good balanced 3rd person shooter game
After 100% all achievements and all easter eggs, I can confidentially say that this is an amazing game, even with it's release being 7 whole years back. I have played it 2x with one being on PS5 (a while back before all the current bad publicity that's going on now) and bought the ultimate edition cheap on steam to 100%. It runs great and I'm sure it will for a lot of systems, it has a very abstract take on it's story, amazing main and side missions (such as the Ashtray Maze and Jesse Faden starring in "Swift Platform") as well as a great progression tree of skills and weaponry. I would recommend this to anyone who wants combat mixed with a warping reality experience. 10/10! Can't wait to play CONTROL Resonant.
The X-Files as an action game with puzzles and plot. I loved this, even more than Alan Wake.
